The main body is cast and has sharp edges inside every aperture (not nice for handling) grinding the edges off would make the painted finish look awful. The secondary reflector was razor sharp along all stamped edges and required some hand finishing. One of the supplied cap head screws (stainless steel, so +1 for that) had a badly damaged thread and was unusable. Overall it's very good but could be much nicer. Review: What you get is a basic aluminum casting wire dish with sharp edges. Definitely not made in North America anywhere… you may receive a box with missing parts. I did, luckily I have a parts bin for nuts and bolts and what not, to complete the assembly.
