GT-R 400 (PS2)

This game was a real surprise. I was not expecting much from a budget racer, but this has turned out to be a gem of a game. With stunning graphics, licensed cars and a nice driving model, this game feels like a full price game. There are a few good game modes including a very well planned 'Quick Race' option. There are loads of goodies to unlock and some well crafted track designs to learn and perfect to keep you coming back for more.Great value for money.

Not one of the first games of the shelf but it has provided the boz with a few hours gameplay.

I was expecting a little more realism from this game, I know it's only a budget game but the handling and in game physics are very ordinary. I guess it would be suitable for younger more inexperienced gamers. It somehow reminds me of very old PSX title but with good graphics. An average game, buy if you want basic racing, no frills, uncomplicated fun, just don't expect the enjoyment to last.

It was released as a budget title so expecting something on a par with gran turismo is a mistake. As a game it's not that bad with some nice looking car and tracks, but there are only five cars in all. It plays well enough but unless you like the cars(the ascari KZ1 or the Mosler MT900R) or cheap driving games this isn't the game for you.
