I was surprised to see such a low star score for these. We’ve had them for a couple years now and love them. We haven’t used them outside but they have never stained our indoor chalkboard or any other surface our toddlers have decided to create art on :) I also love how soft and easy they are to draw with, along with the vibrant color payoff.

Our family LOVES these. We mostly use them on the glass sliding door. Easily wipe off with water or glass cleaner. Wipe off other surfaces easily as well. So fun!

Ordered these for my kiddos this summer and was totally disappointed. I wanted a higher quality chalk that would be easy for them to use and found out these are NOT it. First, they barely show up on concrete. At first I thought there was a thin layer you had to get through to get the chalk to appear, but turns out it just doesn’t work. If it does work it does require a lot of muscle, more than my toddlers could exert. Second, they fall out of the plastic holder they come in almost immediately. The sticks would slide back in easily but there was nothing holding it in its place. And good luck getting it back into the carrying case it arrives in. They would pop in just to pop another out and it was remarkably difficult to get the carrying case closed fully. The color range is limited, as it’s only 12 colors, but also not every exciting the range that is included. Finally, if you do get chalk on the pavement it will not move. We had it on our back patio and it took over a month to get it off after drenching it with water and attempting to hose it off. Overall, I didn’t like these and neither did my kids. We decided the old school Crayola chalk is truly superior and wouldn’t waste any money on this product.

READ THE DESCRIPTION FOR APPROPRIATE USE. It says it is NOT for rough concrete and to be careful when using outdoors. I didn’t read this until I came back here to write a negative review after pressure washing our patio didn’t remove the chalk. Will be using it in other ways the ad suggests.

This chalk is really nice. It’s hard to call it chalk though because it’s almost the texture of crayons. That said, it’s vibrant and fun to color with and makes doing school on the chalkboard a little more fun. No need to worry about dry erase mark drying out. You cannot simply erase it, however, a damp rag is required which is fine, I just wasn’t prepared. Lastly, my 2yo has enjoyed them greatly but has managed to take them apart. That’s not a huge deal since they go back together fairly simply but I do see them getting cracked in the future and that will prevent them from being useful. That said, I definitely plan to order a larger size in the future.

Dustless yes, but does not come off with rain like other reviews before us. It’s stuck on the sidewalk even after some power washing. It’s more like crayons than chalk. They were used up quickly too.

My daughter loves playing with chalk, but her hands used to get very dirty, and she would end up getting chalk on her pants and clothes. With this chalk, I no longer have to worry about that issue, so I am very satisfied.

No mess, easy to use!

This is a scam. It wasn't chalk it's pastel color pens plus plastic cases. Even the pastels are old and used. Very disappointing.
