The slipping toilet seat on my relatively new toilet bowl (2 years old) was pre-fitted prior to installation. Due to the tight fit against the wall, access to the seat fittings to tighten the seat proved very difficult. Having gone into contortionist mode, I made several attempts to tighten the wing nut under the seat bracket, but this failed as the seat quickly loosened off and continued to slip. I bought a couple of these fellows, un-tightened and removed the old seat bracket from below, fitted one of these by pushing the rubber bung into the hole (17mm), fitted the bracket over the top and screwed in the bolt. Remember to keep screwing and the bolt, it will tighten up and the bracket becomes solid and stable. Refitted the toilet seat onto the pins, click into place. Hey presto, solid non-slipping toilet seat. Took no time at all. Recommended for this type of soft closure, pin mounted toilet seat.

Love this product, saved me buying another expensive toilet seat. So easy to install with top screw fitting and very secure. Fitting that came with seat, didn't last long and kept coming loose. The metal bits that fit in holes of seat and lid ,enabling removal for cleaning in the bath with bleach,were too small, but I did as someone else suggested, and drilled larger holes, quite easily. Lid and seat still fit properly and securely to new fittings. Would definitely recommend.

I consider myself fortunate in that I’ve reached an age where a thing like a wobbly toilet seat can be considered a major issue. It has plagued me for a couple of years now so I decided to act. The problem was that the metal rods which fix in to the seat were of a flimsy construction so were not capable of securely fastening the seat. I purchased these fixings and I must admit that in view of the low price I didn’t hold out much hope that they would be any better. However when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdy and robust appearance. Fitting them was a doddle. Literally 15 mins from start to finish, and I now finally have the rock solid toilet seat which I’ve always deserved. Thoroughly recommend!!

Very easy to install and good value for money, however the fitting to one side is loose, this could be down to the seat connection spring not locking to the spike

Needed a new hinge as the pin on my existing one somehow sheared off. I actually used both new hinges from this set as they appear more sturdy and the toilet seat seems to slot on better. Very easy to install, and at a reasonable price.

I must say I was doubtful that they would be the right size or of sturdy build. I was wrong, I am very impressed, they fitted perfectly, seem sturdy (fingers crossed) and the price was good - I am left with an old spare for eventual emergency. My otherwise great w.c. had very poor, weak looking posts, but these have done a good jod. Highly recommended.
