You get what you pay for
I’m returning because the quality is very cheap. This would hurt the dog more so than a high quality one would. The metal points are sharp and not smoothed out so it not only pinched but scratches and stabs. I recommend going in a store and buying a higher quality product and testing out the difference. Also the chain part is rediculously large. I ordered small for a small dog and yet the chain is HUGE. higher quality collar would be a smaller chain and hook for leash

I have a 20 pound sheltie that thinks it is his duty to charge at every car and motorcycle that passes. This collar is the only thing that somewhat deters him. I have tried training and electronic collar - with training.

Works well -most of the time
When it works, it's works fairly well. It slows down our 95lb 14 month old "puppy" enough to keep him from taking after squirrels.Unfortunately, more than once the links inadvertently came undone, of course when I needed that challenge the least.I suspect it will work more effectively on smaller dogs.

I got two smalls and linked them together for my dane
the smaller prongs work so much better on the larger dogs. I bought two small and linked them together for my 140lb great dane works like a charm. She self corrects when we go for a walk

Hard to put on. Collar for larger dog has a "clip" harness. Not using this anymore, bought a "headcollar" to train our newer (60lb Rhodesian) as he is extremely fearful.
