I have recently started on medication for ADHD. "Why is this relevant?" I hear you cry, well, dear reader, one of the side effects of the medication (which, by the way, works very well for me) is that you get a dry mouth but also chew your face off (gums, tongue, cheek) so I needed to be able to get a gum that would not make me feel ill. Sadly, I am one of the many people that cannot tolerate some artificial sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K, sucralose) and chewing "regular" gum just makes me feel very ill. I tried some standard gum, thinking it would be fine as I am just chewing, I soon got the same effects as if I were drinking a diet soda, severe stomach cramps and generally feeling like there are rocks in my abdomen. I came to Amazon to source an alternative and came across PUR. Being made with xylitol, I knew I would be OK as I use this daily as a sugar substitute with no ill effects. I popped one into my mouth as soon as I needed and found NO ill side effects and actually a really pleasant flavour. This is going to help to save my gums and teeth from the effects of the meds and not make me feel terrible! Granted, the longevity of the flavour could do with some work but that is minor. I cannot recommend this product more for those of us that struggle with other kinds of sweetener. They are also plastic free which is a huge bonus. One warning I will give is that Xylitol is extremely poisonous to dogs, please do not leave these lying around if you have a dog as their curiosity could be fatal. If you are a human, though, this product is wonderful.

I have been using PUR Sugar Free Chewing Gum after meals, and it works extremely well for me. I usually chew one piece for about 10 minutes after eating, and my teeth feel very clean afterwards. I chew around 5 pieces per day, either after meals or after drinking lemon water. When I run my tongue over my teeth, they feel smooth and free from food buildup, which gives a very fresh and clean feeling. After using this gum for about six months, my dentist complimented me on how well I take care of my teeth. Before using this gum, I didn’t receive such feedback, so I truly believe it helped improve the condition of my teeth. For the best results, I personally avoid eating or drinking for 1–2 hours after chewing, so the cleaning effect lasts longer. So far, I haven’t noticed any negatives. The taste is pleasant, and the texture is good. Some people might find the flavor mild, but for me it’s perfect. Results may vary depending on personal habits and dental routines. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to keep their teeth feeling clean between brushing.

Love the taste but woukd be better if the flavour lasted longer.

These are the only chewing gums I buy. Sugar in chewing gum is completely counterintuitive - most people chew gum because they're told it is good for keeping their teeth clean and healthy, but sugar literally causes your teeth to rot and fall apart! Aspartame is used in almost all sugar free chewing gums (even the ones which write other sweeteners in huge letters all over the front - always read the ingredients). Problem is, it is literally a pesticide (yep, it was invented to kill bugs) and is therefore probably not safe, or at least not good, for human consumption. I avoid it like the plague personally. Hence, these chewing gums are little lifesavers! They taste great and come in a range of different flavours - I have tried all the minty flavours and like them all. The spearmint flavour is the best in my opinion. I can personally chew on them for hours and don't think they get too hard to enjoy, besides a little jaw exercise never hurt anyone. They are more expensive than those you get in the supermarkets, but they are better for you and made with more expensive ingredients, so I think they are a reasonable price for what you get personally.

Bought a 3 pack bundle of wintergreen and all 3 bags are peppermint flavoured but in wintergreen bags. I know this because I’ve had both PUR flavours in the past. Hopefully just a one off glitch. Thankfully both wintergreen and peppermint are good flavours and texture is great.

Love this gum. Tastes fresh. Doesn’t go tough after chewing it for a few minutes. Safe for type 2 diabetics.

Disappointing! I'm a huge fan of the Wintergreen flavour and smell, these taste nothing like it and at best taste like spearmint so massively disappointing. The flavour only lasted a very short time / chews, so again disappointing. The texture is soft (too soft) and ok i suppose. I was looking forward to these and did plan on trying other flavours, but for the price and flavour not being correct I'll give these a miss.

I've been chewing PUR Gum for a while now, and I love that it's aspartame-free and sweetened with 100% xylitol. The Wintergreen flavor is refreshing, and it stays strong for a decent amount of time without becoming too overwhelming. The fact that it’s made from natural ingredients is a huge plus, and I appreciate that it comes in a large pack of 55 pieces, making it last longer. It’s a great option if you're looking for a gum that's free from artificial sweeteners and flavors. However, the flavor doesn't last as long as traditional gum, so you may find yourself chewing multiple pieces throughout the day. Overall, it's a great choice.

I liked it because it leaves a very pleasant feeling of freshness and does not have the artificial flavor that some sugar-free gums usually have. I also thought it was a good product to carry in your bag or car and use after meals or when you just want to refresh your breath.
