A surprising little gem.
I can’t believe how much joy this thing brings me. It fits in hand luggage only bags, so comes with me everywhere. It looks terrific, the volume and tone are much better than reasonable ( it ain’t solid tone wood), it keeps in tune really well and the ‘action’ is really user friendly ( strings are nice and evenly close to the frets). I own, play and love a £2K tenor and a £1K concert size , but I keep giving this little Enya lots of attention, because it punches way above it’s weight and makes me smile. If you’re a beginner, seeing if you like the ukulele or not, I don’t think you can go wrong with this for 50-60 quid. When you eventually get your master grade koa baby, which I hope you will, I ‘ll wager that you will continue to give this l’il star a well deserved run out…

Excellent ukulele but gig bag is disappointing
Excellent little soprano by Enya. The first carbon ukulele I've bought and it looks and sounds good. My only dislike is the gig bag is next to useless because it has only one strap and I can barely get it over my shoulder and I'm slim and not tall. I have the tenor as well and again one strap isn't big enough. I hope Enya attach two straps in future.

Nice design and build quality
The build quality is very good for this ukulele. The overall design and quality of the ukulele, the bag and accessories is very good the sound is excellent despite it small size. It also looks very smart comma and alternative from the classic wooden ukuleles.

Absolutely brilliant little take anywhere soprano ukulele. Unbeatable value for money and excellent sound from this diminutive instrument. Highly recommended!

Lovely tone and cool looking ukulele
I bought this as I needed to play a gig at a beach ⛱️ event and didn't want to take my expensive ukulele, I was amazed how good this Enya soprano ukulele was so much so it's becoming a regular at my gigs and my go to for travelling...holds its tuning well and has really nice lower action and a beautiful sweet sound..as I'm planning to travel more frequently it's going to be played regularly 😀 and I really want to show this cool ukulele to my ukulele player friends soon 😀

4弦をサバレスのLowGに変えたらそれなりの音色になりました。見た目にもシルバーのラインが入っていい感じです。この楽器はなんか安定感があってよく手にします。

Ottimo strumento!
Consigliatissimo!

Sweet sound, robust, very playable
I've had this for about a year now and, though I have several much more expensive ukuleles (in fact I have none cheaper), it is usually my first choice to pick up and play. The sound is absolutely lovely - clear, distinct, precise, with an unexpected gently reverberant woodiness. It's not the loudest ukulele ever made but, given the incredibly compact dimensions, it is a lot louder than you would expect, it gives more than enough volume to be clearly heard when played alongside my unusually loud voice, and it is a positive boon to be able to play it quietly when staying in hotel rooms or when the grandkids get hold of it. It is extremely robust, and virtually immune to weather. Tuning is accurate, smooth, and precise. The action is very good: it remains completely playable right up to the cutaway. It even comes with a decent functional case and most of the accessories you are likely to need, albeit not top quality stuff. Excellent deals on Enya products seem to come round about once every month or two, I have noticed: it might be worth waiting until the usual 5% or similar discount flips to something more substantial unless you are in a hurry. I paid less than $50, including tax. You'd probably need to spent at least 4 times that much for a conventional wooden instrument of a similar standard, and you'd really need to shop around to find it. I originally got it for travel, not wanting to risk damage to what I erroneously expected then to be my nicer ukuleles. I wanted something cheap and tough that I would not feel too upset about if it broke or got lost, that allowed me to travel light with only carry-on. This fits the bill to a tee. Without its case it fits (just, bottom rear to top front corner to corner) in my 21" 40l carry-on bag (your mileage may vary - mine's a 2 wheeler but, if you have a standard 4-wheel spinner, then it might not fit) . And, because it is so strong and the fit is so tight, it adds useful additional rigidity to the partly soft-sided bag. It has now travelled tens of thousands of kilometres with me, including in several holds, on crowded trains, thrown into a bicycle pannier (many times), stuffed in a small rucksack from which it was twice dropped onto hard concrete, and has been dragged up and down my house in the sticky hands of a very boisterous 1-year-old. It still looks and plays like nearly new. If it ever does get badly damaged or lost, I would get another without hesitation and, because these things are so consistently made, I would be confident it would sound and play the same The only thing that would make it more perfect would be a pickup. Enya do make great little electric versions of this range but the only ones I have come across are much bigger sopranos, and it does not lend itself to home-electrification except by sticking something to the body, which I have done occasionally and that works well enough but is really ugly and a bit fragile. The plastic body means I don't worry about peeling the sticky tape off afterwards - it damages nothing and leaves no residue. I have since bought two Enya guitars, and am just as happy with those. It's an impressively innovative company that understands the needs of both music and musicians, providing superb quality instruments at excellent prices. I'll probably be among the first customers if they ever bring out a baritone or bass version of the Nova U.
