Great Product/Invention!
Brilliant product! Water heater/AC unit previously flooded my floor a few random times. Now this wonderful little device has saved me from a lot of stress. The slightest dampness will trigger the alarm. The alarm is loud enough to hear several rooms away. I have recommended this sensor to many of my neighbors. It is also very affordable.

Small, Loud, Reliable Water Alarm
This thing alerts to small amounts of water, has a loud siren, and a button for silencing the siren. It has four little metal feet that I assume are the sensor array. It's a nice little device.

Leakage Device that Detects Water Under the Device: Tested ! It Works
Intended to detect water via sensors on the bottom of the unit.I tested the device by placing on a shallow pan, and pour a little water onto the pan. It immediately activated by 1-2 mm of water seeping under the device, and sounded a rated 100db alarm that cycled rapidly. There is also a test bottom, but without water, it tests alarm sound only.According to the short manual, the alarm is activated when "2 parallel metal probes" (there are 4 "metal feet probes") are in contact with water. This suggests that it detects a closed micro electric circuit when water "connects" 2 probes. The manual says 2 "diagonal" probes aren't activated, but given the translation to English, it is possible that the manuf means that it is ALSO activated when 2 diagonal probes are closed; don't really know, but given the small space among the probes, 1-2mm of water is a couple of tablespoon of water that will cover all 4 probes. By accident, I placed the sensor on a very damp towel, and the alarm also activated, suggesting that a micro-circuit was closed by the embedded water/moisture in the towel. That's a high sensitivity which may be a great feature, or annoying false alarms caused by condensation on surface which the device sits.1. It comes with 2 AAA alkaline batteries, but I used my stash of Energizer Lithium that I expect to last 10 years if no water detection. If batteries are low, a pinging sound will occur and a flashing LED indicator under the cover that flashes through.2. I've enclosed a photo of the inner body which has an impressive circuit board. It's not a simply device. The Blue triangle in the photo is to pry open the cover to insert AAA batteries.3. It is IP66 rated which I haven't Google, but assume it's resistant to water intrusion, and water tight for a few minutes of water exposure.4. Because of IP66, the body cover is quite tight, and a prying tool is provided; the prying tool will scar the opening slot, but won't damage the inside. The 2 AAA batteries are inserted.5. I've read other reviews about "pairing." I ve no idea what they mean as this is a $10 device without WiFi or Bluetooth capability. This device is a used anywhere where a possible water leak can occur, like under the kitchen sink, etc. My use is for my Central AC condensate overflow while I go about installing a float switch to shut-off the AC if the condensate drain is clogged, and the condensate pan overflows. Even after I install a float switch, either a SS1 or SS2, this sensor is good backup, but maybe it can be annoying if it is overly sensitive to possible condensation under the device body.Recommended highly. There seems to less cheaper ones, but I decided that $10 would give me a better device than the $6 ones.

Easy, small water sensor to alert you of any water leaks. Good price for peace of mind.
Works exactly how it's described. Comes with batteries and clear instructions to easy to set up. I purposefully chose this one to not have to have yet another wifi connected device. I tested on a damp paper towel and it went off. Very loud. I would use this somewhere you go by often enough vs in a storage closet in the basement with all the doors closed. Then you might not hear it. Nice and small for good peace of mind.

This little alarm worked and saved my floor.
I set this alarm up next to my water heater a little over one year ago. I forgot about it. Last night, after spending a week on a camping trip, I heart an unusual intermittent "alarm" noise. I thought it may be the TV. No. A phone alert? No. Turns out my 6+ year-old electric water heater started leaking, which set off this alarm. I live on a slab, which means a leak flows across the first floor. It is important to catch the leak early to prevent water ruing the flooring and leaking into my neighbor's home. I live in a townhome. Having replaced the water heater every 5-6 years, this was right on time. The alarm saved me from a huge mess. I hate leaking water heaters, especially since mine is stuck in a closet, under a stair landing. It makes it hard to take an occasional glance to check on the heater. This inexpensive alarm worked!

saved me twice; sink leak and fridge leak; would recommend to a friend
saved me twice; sink leak and fridge leak. My only worry is I don't know when the battery runs out unless I test periodically. It would be better if they start chirping like smoke detectors do when their batteries run low. How hard can that tech be?
User
Works Well, and Repeatedly. Good
I tested it, it does sound when water touches its sensors. Very loud alarm for my apartment, but not sure if it is loud enough if you place it in an American-style house basement. It has consistently works for my leak. Loud alarm every time, good product.

Great little product
It's just what I needed for my basement it works...what more can I say!

Très sensible pas connecté
Fait très bien le travail mais n’est pas connecté au wifi ou à quoi que ce soit donc il faut être sur place pour entendre sonner. La sonnerie est très forte c’est un avantage
User
works great
No floods yet. seems quite simple.

Works as intended
I held off on reviewing this as I hadn’t had a water leak yet.Our washer has leaked twice in the past year which was what prompted me to purchase this alarm. Yesterday the alarm sounded when I had a load of laundry in, and sure enough it was leaking water. I was very happy to be able to address the problem quickly without my basement flooding or the water causing any damage.
