its great stuff to use if you have a lot of ...
this stuff go's on thick. when you purchase a gallon of this primer, make sure you also buy some reducer with it. I had the air turned up all the way to get this stuff to spray right, wish I had the reducer. it already comes with 4 tubes of activator, one tube per quart. its great stuff to use if you have a lot of bare metal to cover. I'm restoring a 72 el camino, so I needed a good self etching primer. it went on thick, and really did a great job of covering my body work. I block sanded the car, and everything came out straight and true. I shot the car here in Arizona, and I think the temp was in the high 60s, or low 70s. make sure you wear a good respirator and eye protection. this is a very good primer for the price, and I would recommend it.

Amazing product, dependable seller.
Can arrived dented, whatever. One of the hardener tubes leaked but the seller quickly sent me a replacement.

Great for filling pits
My 60 year old truck was heavily pitted and I wanted basically a spray on "bondo", this is it. It's the same polyester base as most fillers so it's compatible. Fairly thick so a big tip gun is recommended. With that a gallon covered just the cab with 2 coats. The stuff has an evil odor so good ventilation and respirator is mandatory. It comes with 4 tubes of activator so pouring out a quart and adding a tube is easy. Be aware that when mixed it starts to kick and expand so cap it and spray it quickly. It leaves somewhat of a coarse finish which I smeared with guide coat then sanded until that was gone leaving a nice smooth surface. It's fairly soft so it sands fast but that also means that it scratches easily. It gets harder as time goes by and after a week is about as good as urethane.

Great primer for the money - shipping needs some help
Been using this for years. Have used this under many high end paint jobs. The primer itself is great. But not sure why anyone would think one piece of paper is adequate packing for 2 gallons of primer $300 worth of primer packaged with one piece of paper.

poor packaging problem
very poorly packaged with very little cushioning. Gallon can arrived it torn box full of dents and partially crushed. What a mess. The product from is an excellent product.

I have been using slick sand for years on restoration projects. I fills well and sands easy. I use epoxy direct to metal then slick sand, sand down with 180/240, then use a 2k primer. hasn't failed me yet.
