I recommend this DEWENWILS Transformer. It's solid, simple to setup & has very good wifi range
My grossly overpriced deck lighting transformer finally quit on me so I had to find a replacement. I calculated how many watts of juice I would need for my 16 deck post lights over 2 separate decks, and this little transformer fit the bill. I liked the idea of finally having a wirelessly controlled system (like everything else in my world) which was a definite advantage over the $500 unit it was replacing. Yup, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS with no wifi! This little unit talks to to my Google Home system and all of the timer, schedule and manual ON/OFF can be controlled on their clean little app or via Google Home. I can also now say, "Hey Google, turn on the deck lights", although I really just rely upon the app's schedule which works perfectly for me. BUT, there was one thing missing that was almost a deal breaker. NO DIMMER! I do not understand why they do not include this feature but I found a very inexpensive, simple solution that works beautifully and just requires a couple of short wires and a few minutes of your time. This little gadget cost 12 bucks on Amazon (as seen in my attached image). Just search for "SUPERNIGHT LED Light Strip Dimmer". So, for a total of $62.00 I have a setup that is so much better than what I had for $500. While I cannot actually dim the lights wirelessly, that's okay. I just wanted to set it once and forget it. But if for some reason I want them brighter for a particular event I can just manually crank up the little dimmer knob. I highly recommend this DEWENWILS 60W WiFi Low Voltage Transformer. It is solid, simple to setup and has very good wifi range.

Great buy!
I originally bought this to replace a Dewenwils low-voltage transformer that failed after about a year. At first I was pretty disappointed since I was well past the return window, but the seller reached out and completely made it right. Iโve had this new unit for a couple of months now and itโs been working flawlessly. In fact, Iโm realizing itโs an even better solution than a transformer for my setup. I already have outlets throughout my yard and solid WiโFi coverage, so I can use these instead of dealing with a transformer and running low-voltage wiring everywhere. Iโm keeping an eye on these for Prime Day and hoping the price drops so I can pick up a few more.

Super easy install with SmartLife and Alexa
My previous SMY 100W Transformer burned out after about 18 months of use likely caused by a short where water got into the underground wiring. So I did an extensive rewire of my eight 5W LED Lights so that all connections are above ground. This transformer is compact, light, efficient, easy to install, with a simple design and at a very reasonable price, especially since it has Wi-Fi & Alexa capability. It was one of the easiest devices to connect to Wi-Fi that I've encountered. I have a smart home with around 85 devices connected to my router, so I understand problem devices. Many manufacturers including Dewenwils have their own apps that they want you to install, but this device works perfect installed using SmartLife, which even brought in the exact model icon into the app. So I have no doubt that the Dewenwils app is based on the SmartLife app that is mentioned in the instructions. Connect it up, put it on your wall, open SmartLife, press and hold the power button on the device, and then when its in pairing mode click Add in SmartLife. After 30 to 50 seconds it connected and worked! Transformers usually last a long time, so with my new wiring, I'm hoping this one lasts years.

Great WIFI box for low-voltage lighting systems!
So far so good. Make sure you know how to change your router to 2.4ghz if you have a 5ghz router wifi signal. You can get into your router by using your IP address and password on your router. I tried to connect the transformer on 5ghz and it would not let me, but once I switched to 2.4ghz the transformer connected. You then can switch your router back to 5ghz and the until will be just fine, you just have to connect through a 2.4ghz signal. A lot of modern routers have both 2.4 and 5ghz signals as well, so keep that in mind as you might be able to connect without getting into your router settings. Once it was hooked up, the app install was easy and the programing was super simple using the app. I used the timed on/timed off setting and everything is working just perfect. There are a ton of options on when you want the power to turn on and off, such as a timer, random, sunset, sunrise, etc. I have one box that is on the outside of my house pretty far away from my router and it picked up my wifi without issue. For the price and for use with only a few of low voltage outdoor lights, this thing is just what I was looking for. All the others on the market were for 100w, 200w, 300w worth of lights, but I only have about 25 watts of lighting and it handles that just fine. Hopefully these boxes can handle a few summers in the Arizona heat.

Excellent wireless functionality at a fair price
Excellent high-quality/low-cost landscape lighting transformer. Itโs only 60W, so it canโt power much, even using LED lighting. The real selling point of this aside from the excellent quality to cost ratio is the wireless capability. I wanted the capability to turn my landscape lights on and off from my phone, from any location, and this provides that. The app is somewhat featureless and doesnโt offer much, but it does offer the ability to set a daily or weekly timer to automate your lights if you donโt want to do it manually every day. And most importantly, all of the hardware and software actually works, and works reliably. Iโm impressed and would definitely recommend it. I wish this company would offer additional high wattage transformers with similar features.

Does not connect to Google Assistant/Home.
Does not connect to Google Assistant/Home. It's a straight up lie (It does connect to Alexa though). The Dewenwils app is typical of many similar apps, but the "Link to Goggle Assistant" button just brings you to a how-to description of how to connect, USING A DIFFERENT APP. Shows that this app was copied from another and never completed. On the bright side, it does physically work and connection was easy. The timer or dusk/dawn function in the app does work once you connect the device to the app. I wanted the Assistant App functionality so I could control all my devices through one app. Will be returning once I figure out a replacement.

Extremely easy setup and totally reliable!
I bought this smart transformer a few weeks ago to power the low-voltage lighting for our house numbers, and it has been working flawlessly. The setup process was incredibly quick and easy, and it connected to my Wi-Fi network without any hassle. The smart app and automation features work perfectly, allowing me to manage the lighting exactly when I need it. So far, the unit has proven to be highly reliable and consistent every single night. If you are looking for a straightforward, dependable smart transformer for a small outdoor lighting project, this one is an excellent choice!

Simple, effective, easy setup - works 100%
Super happy with this transformer for our deck and landscape light. Opened box followed instructions, installed transformer, downloaded app, setup onto network - voila! Setup my automated timers with astronomical clock for sunrise/sunset then added off automation for midnight and 10 AM. Worked flawlessly now for more then a month. Took approx 15 minutes from start to finish. Took longer to install the lights into the deck and garden. Super happy!

Works well connected to Alexa
At first I couldn't get this to work. After looking at it further and doing some research, I realized that it was only good for up to 60 watts of lighting. I have 7 pathway lights, each had an 11 watt incandescent bulb. My electrician had told me that incandescent bulbs were better than LED for my pathway lighting because the heat from the bulbs would help with condensation. I could only get this transformer to turn on if I had 3 bulbs (33 watts total) plugged in. As soon as I plugged in a 4th bulb (44 watts), it would not turn on. So, I switched to 2 watt LED bulbs and BINGO the transformer works and all 7 pathway lights light up. I have this connected to my Alexa app, and have it scheduled for sunset to sunrise along with my other outdoor lighting. No more going out every couple of weeks and adjusting my old manual timer. The size is also nice. It is fairly compact so doesn't stand out in my garden.
