I used to use just one 32" net, but now I'll place two more smaller ones on either side. To be honest, these nets aren't good for use in faster flows, I usually go to some of the marinas in the bay and usually use chicken legs as bait. The good thing about these nets is that they can wrap around the crab's legs and make it difficult for it to escape.

One of the crab nets was broken and unable to be used. The netting was cut. The other was ok, but not the best for laying flat to catch crabs. The bait holder kept floating out of the net so the crabs would fall off and not stay in the net.

This is a nice set for crabbing from a pier. The ring is fairly sturdy and flatly sits on the ground. There is an attached bait bag that you will set inside your net prior to dropping. Depending on your method, you either pull it up periodically or you will pull it up when you see that a crab has walked into the ring. Then pull it up, measure it with the included measure tool, and if it’s a keeper, you have dinner.One thing to check periodically…. The bait bag could possibly slip outside of the ring when you are dropping the net. If this is the case, you can simply put another zip tie on the other end of the bait bag to fasten it to the net.There is a float to help keep your line visible but depending on where you live, you may need to attach a different float. We tried this at a local pier and stayed with it. In a short time, we managed to pull a few keepers. The set is easy to use and is sturdy enough for pier crabbing.

Very good pair of traps for fishing crabs, they are very easy to use and store.
