I bought two nozzles which seemed very similar with the intent to keep one & return the other...I liked the Spray patterns On this one & that almost sold me on this one over the Ikris model...The thumb control was similar on both... this one ... all the way forward was off while pullingback increased pressure from 0 to full blast... while the other one was off all the way back andincreased From o to full blast pushing forward... that just felt more natural & comfortable...I know that may seem like a minor difference but it was the difference maker for me.Add to that ... the other one felt more solid (heavy duty) AND was a little less expensive.Had gardenlite reversed the thumb control... I may have still kept it!... oh so close!

I bought this, to replace my current sprayer that had started to leak, out of the bottom, and would no longer shut off. Wow, I am so impressed with this. First of all, it has 10 spray patterns, vs. the 8 spray patterns of my old one. Also, instead of the usual spray handle, that you have to hold down, it has a lever on the back, that you push down to turn on or up to turn off. I have never had a sprayer with this kind of feature, and it is fantastic. This way, I don't get tired of holding the handle down, when using the sprayer, for an extended period of time, but also this way you can adjust the amount of water you want to come out, which is great if you want to water plants or flowers, and don't want to drown them, or spray the dirt out,etc. Also, this is a great feature, because you can push it all the way up to the top, which stops the water from coming out, and then you can change the setting, all without having to turn the water off first. And, the water comes out with a great amount of force, and the sprayer has a substantial feeling and is comfortable in my hand. This is a winner!

I was tired of buying garden hose end adjustable sprayers that would fail after the first year. It's often the spray setting adjustment that gives out. So, last year I bought three different brands and used them pretty much equally mostly for watering the garden, some walkway cleaning, and car washing. This one won because:1) Spray setting adjustment holding up. Continues to click firmly into place for each spray setting and no sign that it is degrading.2) Shower spray setting holding up. Spray continues to be even and no sign of clogging. I use the shower setting for most garden watering.3) Comfortable grip and the on/off lever continues to work smoothly, adjusts pressure easily.4) No problem with hose connection. No leaking.5) Seems like it's made out of fairly solid materials. Metal parts are solid.6) Color hasn't faded. (I was surprised that the other sprayers tested, all red, faded to pink or orange.)Happy with this sprayer after first year.

This is my second time purchasing this item. On my first nozzle, the "mist" option sprayed a very fine, wide and even amount of water - probably exactly what you'd expect. It was fantastic for adding a finishing light dew-like spray to my outdoor hanging plants. This current item however, the "mist" option seems to be more focused, shoots further and is less well, misty. It still gets the job done but something slipped through the cracks in quality control. Other than that, it has a good variety of spray options and I somehow use most of them.

I happened to order this item along with the Orbit 58993, due to some strange vendor restriction allowing you to buy only ONE of this item. Well the joke is on the vendor "Equinox International" because as it happens, having the two items side by side really reveals the deficiency in this item and quality of the Orbits product!Both were effectively the same price of $14.00, so it's not about cost. When you hold both of them in your hand you can feel the difference right away. The Gardenite feels cheap and lightweight. Turning the nozzle to select the spray patters also reveals a flimsy product by comparison. In terms of the actual distribution of water- they act similarly (as most nozzles do), so in the end it's really about longevity and quality. The "jet" setting on the Orbit may be slightly stronger if that matters to you.In the end, this product is worth about $9-10. Just buy the Orbit 58993.

Update: In response to my review and picture showing the defect in the order I received, the seller refunded me the cost of my purchase. It would have been nice if the product wasn't defective in the first place, but the customer service was great, and I would definitely purchase from them again in the future knowing that they stand behind their products.I just purchased this last week. When I turn the hose on but not the nozzle, the pressure in the nozzle causes water to shoot out from where different pieces of it are connected (see picture)--one of the leaks shoots a thin stream of water almost 5 feet. Everything still works properly when I turn the nozzle on; and the leaks subside to only a trickle. Unfortunately, when I use the hose I don't have the nozzle open all the time, and have water shooting out in different directions is extremely annoying. I'll likely exchange this and see if it was just a defective unit (since other people don't mention this problem in their reviews).There is no crack or anything, the parts of the handle just weren't put together in a way that is water tight under pressure.

I LOVE this product! It has so many settings for water flow and it so easy to use. My kids have been arguing about who gets to water the plants every night becuase they enjoy the ease and changing the settings. I can only imagine my water bill next month! 😁 I only got one this time, but I am about to order a second one....because I really like it, have a second hose, and so my kids won't have to share/argue. Great product....great value!

The pins that hold the trigger in place are easily dislodged, but not too hard to put back.
