Places We've Never Been

Excellent!
I've been reading a bunch of YA books lately. There's no specific reason why but I have been really enjoying them all. I had just finished 'Throw Like a Girl' by Sarah Henning and saw one of those “if you like this book you may like this other book”. The other book being 'Places We've Never Been'. This is another new author for me and I'll just say that she writes very well and this story was just so good. There was very little angst which is a definite plus in my opinion. Norah and Skyler were just adorable together and as individuals. They're both at the age where they are trying to figure out who they are and what they want in life. I could definitely see a second book with these characters as they are both headed off to the same college together. Oops...I guess that was a small spoiler. The story is filled with family dynamics and I read about the author and turns out she has a son named Skyler. Both MC's have great, uncommon names which is just another plus for my liking of this novel. I definitely recommend this book and give it 4 ½ stars.

The ending was unexpectedly perfect.
Let’s talk about how much we love Kasie West. She is one of our very most favorite ya authors. This book was exactly what I needed this week. The family dynamics, not just between siblings, but between the two different families was written so well and so entertaining to read. The imagery of their drive up the west coast made the colors alive and the places real.I loved Skyler and Norah’s relationship. I loved the flashbacks, I loved how real Kasie made their emotions and the push and pull tension, was just right. And most of all I loved how she used the book to teach us all is okay to be weird, and to embrace your own creativity. The ending was unexpectedly perfect.

Absolutely LOVE
This book is one of the best I have read! The mysterious new grown up version of Nora's childhood best friend, Skyler, makes her confused, how could so much change happen in just 4 years? As time goes on suspicions raise about what lead to the last minute road trip. Over the course of the trip, Norah realizes she might have feelings for Skyler but she doesn't want to get attached juts to lose him again. I loved this book it was nearly impossible to blout down. This book was light-hearted and the characters were absolutely swoon worthy! I highly recommend this book!

Another cute romance
Kasie West's novels always fly off the shelf in my classroom, and new release Places We've Never Been is one students will look forward to! Norah's and Skyler's moms announce a last-minute cross country road trip, and Norah can't wait to reconnect with her bestie. The characters are well developed and both likeable and relatable. Readers will root for their friendship to blossom into something more as they navigate the ups and downs of their vacation in everything from the close confines of an RV to the wide open spaces of parks attached to campgrounds. Thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to preview #PlacesWeveNeverBeen by Kasie West. I loved it and am already waiting for her next release!

I fancy myself Kasie West's biggest fan
If you like YA, family trips, jealousy, secrets, scenery, funny younger sisters and second chances, you HAVE to read this book!I'll spare you at least a little of my gushing but I really enjoy all of Kasie West's books. But what I love the most is definitely how family relationships feature in her books. I just love knowing that when I open one of her books, the parents, the siblings, the grandparents- they are going to matter and as someone who places a lot of value on family, I am so glad.

Sweet Story
Places We've Never Been by Kasie West.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love the lead up to when they finally realize they liked each other. The flirting, the chemistry, the forced proximity, the fact that they were childhood friends. All great things! Skyler and Norah were a cute couple. There was witty dialogue, and some heartbreaking moments. Kasie West is a wonderful writer. Happy I picked this one up. ~Paragraphs and Petticoats ~
