Satisfied with replacement
**Edited to add that the seller reached out and sent a replacement part. We have not yet used the item again, but happy with the replacement at this point...** bought for a trip to Hawaii. The "spring" broke the first 5 minutes that he tried using it.

Good company, decent product
The first spear I got broke after the first use but after contacting dr fish they got back right away and sent a replacement. It seems to be better but I’m yet to use it. Great customer service is hard to beat so I would recommend.

Horrible garbage child’s toy!
A complete child’s toy. Not suitable for any type of real fishing. Dr Fish should be ashamed of themselves, absolutely garbage. The pole is WAY too flexible, the band is super weak. Do not buy, do not ever buy!

Has some power!
Haven’t used for the Offical use yet, but my husband was playing around with the poles without a tip and his grip slipped and it went through the front of the couch.

Quality
At first, this pole seemed like a solid lightweight option with a decent tip, but when I took it to the water for the first time, the threaded end snapped in one spot. I think it happened because the pole is pretty thin. When I was pulling the rubber, the pole bent a lot, so I feel like the manufacturer needs to beef up the thickness and the threaded connection. I’ve been using a Hawaiian pole speargun with a trigger and one band for about three years without any problems, and I got this new one just in case something happened to the Hawaiian. For now, I’m sticking with my trusty old pole.

Most fun toy EVER!!!!
I bought the spare gun for 70 bucks. Took it spearfishing. Most fun you could possibly have for 70 bucks. Took it out. Easy to use. After about 10 minutes my kids wanted to use it. Should’ve bought one for each kid. Quality was good.

Great spear for lion-fish
So far so good, I’ve been using the spear for over a year for lionfish. Great tool for different depths and tight places! Prongs hold the fish well. Rubber sling did break in about a month, but a local fishing gear shop has replicated it at the same size and rubber gage for a fair price. The pole does bend like a bow, if all three sections are used together for hard to reach places under rocks, but it’s holding up well. If you are going for a bigger stronger fish, look for a different spear.
