Polk Audio FXI A6 Surround Speakers (Pair, Black)

I purchased a pair of these surrounds to go with my 7.2 setup. I was a little skeptical since the rest of my setup is the Klipsch Reference Premiere line. These surrounds were half the price and man was I surprised! I run them in the bipole setup and they do a great job dispersing sound on the side walls. They are large, so be sure you factor this in when making your decision. I would say my only negative on these speakers is that they do require quite a bit more power than my Klipsch speakers (which is to be expected). Overall I am very impressed with the sound quality and build.

Do your research ,these speakers are made for surround sound duties.Polk already has a great reputation for sound quality (read reviews online for the Rti-a speaker line to which these belong too). What there seems to be confusion about is the difference between Dipole and Bipole mode which is switchable on this model. Dipole has a more diffuse sound harder to locate and less base, while Bipole mode is a more direct sound and more base. The way the speakers are designed and angled in either mode they will bounce sound off walls to give you a larger surround field to immerse you into the movie or music. If you are using mainly for surround sound music most people recommend not these type but regular mono speakers.I bought them originally to use in Dipole mode (95% time watch movies) but after critical listening I liked the Biploe mode better,REMEMBER its all about personal preference there is no right or wrong! These speakers make the rear of my room sound like the front of my home theater,they have presence .It now feels like my whole home theater is full of sound instead of just hearing sound effects in the rear speakers which try and draw you into the action.I will upgrade my fronts to Rti-a3 Bookshelfs as Xmas gift. i purchased my first pair from polk and had them for a few years and "tookem" for granted and sold them. a year or so past i went to svs which is a good speaker but no calibration could satisfy what i was getting from the polk. well i saw them for a steal on amazon and grabbed them. i am running 11.2 atmos and these are my sides. oh my i won't give them up again. they will pull a disappearing act on you, you see them but the sound is like it is coming from the whole wall not the speaker, now once again i am engulfed in the movie, and in action movies it feels like i am along with the ride. and they are pretty good at blending into the room visual wise

Les meilleurs surround que j'ai eu jusqu a présent , le son est clair et défini , de bonne grave en mode large , le boutton dipole/ bipole permet de passer rapidement en bipole pour écouter un show de musique par exemple et pour les petites pieces genre 300 pi carrésur le mur arriere le mode dipole fontionne parfaitement.J'ai combiné les FXI A6 avec les collones RTI A7 et le centre CSI A6, le match esr parfaitMais ca prend un puissant récepteur voir meme un ampli
