A Maker's Dream: Arduino UNO R4 WiFi Review
The latest Arduino UNO R4 WiFi board is nothing short of a revelation for DIY electronics enthusiasts like myself. This board is a significant upgrade, featuring built-in WiFi and an integrated 12x8 LED matrix, which I found to be exceptionally useful for my projects that visually display data or status information. One of the standout features of this board is its connectivity. With both WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, the possibilities for networked and IoT projects are vast and exciting. I was able to connect easily to the internet and other devices, which expanded what I could do with my projects. The addition of USB-C for power and programming also makes the board more future-proof and user-friendly.The quality of the board is exactly what you would expect from Arduino—robust and reliable. The performance is stellar; I've used it to create everything from simple LED displays to more complex networked sensors without a hitch. The integrated OP AMP and DAC are great for more advanced applications requiring precise analog and digital conversions. The documentation provided by Arduino remains top-notch, making it easy to get started and to troubleshoot any issues. I particularly appreciated the inclusion of the Qwiic Connector, which simplifies adding a wide range of sensors and peripherals without soldering.Overall, the Arduino UNO R4 WiFi is an excellent choice for anyone from hobbyists to seasoned makers looking to explore the capabilities of connected devices. It’s a versatile, high-quality board that offers great value for money and opens up a new horizon of possibilities for creative projects. Highly recommended for its performance and ease of use!

Super machine. NOTE:$20 per year or $70 one time fee for Visual Studio extension.
Works super. You need to add simple command interface through com port that will let you set up wi-fi. Then create an http host for your interface. No need to physically wire up switches or buttons or dials. Remember no blocking code. I can see why people use these as Christmas tree light controllers. I can think of a dozen uses for this thing right off. A note on the http interface. Only allow two or three channels at most. There's just not enough RAM to support anymore. Since there's absolutely no room to store anything like a graphic. I created a public facing folder on my Google Drive and put my Graphics assets there and then have the http interface access those through a link so that it doesn't have to store the graphic locally. The only thing that should be stored on the EEPROM is the Wi-Fi setup information. Everything else should be stored on the client's machine AKA your laptop connected to the host running on the Arduino. $$$ BE AWARE! The Visual Studio extension is NOT free. $$$

From Zero to Smart: Exploring the Arduino UNO R4 WiFi
The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi is an updated version of the classic Arduino board. What makes it special is that it’s faster and already comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so you can connect your projects to the internet or even control them from your phone. It looks almost the same as the older Arduinos, so you can still use the same cables and accessories. It also has a little LED matrix (like tiny lights) that you can program to show numbers, symbols, or messages. This board is perfect if you are just starting to learn, because it’s simple to use but also powerful enough to create fun and modern projects like smart devices, robots, or interactive systems.

Great for IoT builds, just needs a change in the updating processes
Worked as expected! Its just like a R3, way more powerful with built in WiFi, which is amazing to see from an Arduino. The only problem i encountered is then when i tried to update the connectivity firmware, it bricked the device, so I had force update the chip and get help from the discord, so I'm traumatized of ever trying to update it again, but the support was helpful! FYI, this happened when i was at the final part where it told me to unplug and re plug my device, and i did that, left it, left it there until it said the update failed, and my R4 WiFi was appearing as a generic ESP32 and sketches nor firmware couldn't be flashed to it.

Great Arduino for teaching the kids
It is an Arduino-branded product and a nice quality board for using with Arduino projects to teach the kids programming and how these work. It is sometimes hard to find these at a decent price, but it is a worthwhile investment if you want to learn how to program these or even use them for projects around the house. Some of the knock-off brands have issues with the boards, and I have yet to have a problem with an Arduino. If you are newer to the Arduino world then it is also good to note that if you purchase an Arduino-branded product, it works easily and quickly with the Arduino desktop software, so there is minimal need to go and search for the device to get it up and running.

Easy to get started but has a lot of power.
This chip is amazing. It is easy to connect to WiFi and then you can send commands to it just by typing in a URL.

Magnifico
