Great battery! Laptop charged right up, and holds a charge!

Ive had this battery for 4 months now and it does not hold a charge for more than a few minutes- battery life is very poor. It was poor from the start. Using on my HP Elite Book 830 G8. Would not recommend this brand.

How sexy can a replacement battery be for a notebook? Not very. This is a fantastic replacement with safety features that are third party blessed. Swapping out the old is painless and simple. For an HP (mine is a Zbook Firefly G8), do start at the back (where screen meets base) first after removing the back panel screws. Many YouTube short vids on the process.

Bought my laptop used and the battery it came with was very worn out, it was showing 71% of the original capacity and I wanted more life out of it. I'm running Linux (Ubuntu 24.04) so my battery life numbers will be different but at least gives you an idea compared to the old battery. The old battery running a loop of crab rave lasted 3.5hrs on max brightness, the new battery lasted around 5hrs. In actual use watched downloaded videos with no wifi and varying brightness I get 6.5hrs of battery, and a little more just web browsing so I'm pretty happy with it. With these Amazon batteries it's always kind of a guess if it will be any good but so far very happy with it. For the 'break in' I let the battery drain to 3% from it's initial charge, let it charge to 100% and then drained it to 3% again and called it good. I've cycled it twice since then, charging up to ~90% and letting it drain to 20% before charging again. I think for lithium ions it really doesn't matter but I still feel at least one full charge to near zero is good and after that just keep it between 80% and 20% and it'll last alot longer then always going from 0-100. Only have ~5 cycles on it but it's been great, I'll update if I notice the battery life dropping off a cliff, that's the only question left is how long it'll stay good.
