Beauregard Sweet Potato Slips for Planting - Grow Your Own Orange/Red Sweet Potatos (3 Slips)

I bought 24 slips. These were CRAZY EXPENSIVE and what sad little pieces... yes, pieces, not even rooted, you get. For over $40, the healthiest pieces only had 1 leaf, most had no leaves, no roots. Because these are such poor quality, ypu must set them in water for over a week, which I did. Out of 24, I have planted 12 in which they only have 1 leaf each & have not grown. The others are so pathetic, I'm not sure I'll waste my time trying to plant them. I'm a season gardener, in my 60s, have garden all my life. I've never seen anybody selling such poor quality slips. Bottomline: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I wish I had noticed the high percentage of 1 stars reviews before I threw my money away.

Just received mine today and they came with no instructions-so can’t comment yet on growth but the 3 I received looked ok and I planted right away. Didn’t know I was supposed to root in water. 2 out of 3 that came had nice root potential.

I put the slips in water to try to get some roots going before I planted them. They never sprouted and they ended up dying.

Only one of the slips grew, but that one is enjoying the sunshine and growing beautifully!

As a professional gardener, who’s been buying & growing from sweet potato slips for years, I had to leave a review to say these are the best looking & healthiest sweet potato slips I’ve ever purchased! They are green, they look alive and healthy, and they’ve got plenty of little roots!

Update to update. Company made good on the product. Received 2 beautiful slips with roots starting and a stick, but at least it’s a live stick. See recent updated pics. The 2 slips are growing wonderfully and the stick was planted 2 weeks ago and has finally started to take off. Changing my review stars to 3 for the mere fact they sent dead sticks. 5 day update. Dead dead dead Day 5. Slimy and dead. You should be embarrassed to have this as your product. Moved to 1 star. Arrival day, immediately in the lukewarm water. Noting sticks very soft and soggy and small. I’m somewhat disappointed in the appearance of the slips. Thank goodness it was a small order. Your strawberries I bought off tiktok arrived same day and are big healthy and wonderful looking. Day 2.. photo day. Sticks still very soggy. No improvements. Roots look sick. Glass jar sits in window. 75 in house. 65-70 outside. Non smoking house. I’ll update when there is improvement. If they die, I’ll reduce stars to 1.

Slits were not great looking and I don’t think they are going to come up. They’ve been in the ground for around two weeks and nothing is sprouting. I planted someone else's white sweet potato’s at the same time and they all sprouted and look great, and I haven’t done anything different.

The slips were too tender and young too survive so didnt live or grow though I followed instructions. I am an experienced gardener and have successfully grown sweet potatoes for many years.
