This vent cover works as its description says and it's durable. One advise is to clean the screen when you noticed that your dryer needed longer time to dry your clothing. Because it's very possible the lint from your dryer blocked the screen and wet air could not be vented efficiently. Other than this, there was no issue with the vent cover and I recommend this product.

Great vent to install on soffit or eave, upside down
We have this vent installed to a soffit coming out of a 4" bathroom exhaust. Contractor had no issues installing. There is a thin plastic mesh protecting the duct from critters, and the steel fins also do a good job in this regardFor the soffit/vent install with the vent facing downwards, do NOT use a vent with louvers since the louvers will always stay open with gravity and if the vent doesn't have a mesh, critters will get in.

Trust Me.. this Vent is Five Stars!!!
I use this to suck toxic fumes out the window. I cut a 3x3 inch square into this wood thing and using a 3” duct and a fan, toxic fumes are sucked outside. This vent worked perfect for what I needed.The vent is not necessarily pictures but trust me when I say the duct is connected to it!

Perfect vent cover!
After several attempts to get a decent vent cover from Home Depot and having to replace it due to plastic breaking or mice chewing on it to try and get into my house i finally found this metal one with fine mesh to keep all the critters out. I did not have to struggle to screw it in as it fit my vent like a glove with basically no need to screw it into the wall. It is sturdy, it is metal and it will last for years!! Not to mention being decently priced.I would definitely recommend this vent cover!
