PROS: This material works remarkably well. I’m very grateful that someone came up with this alternative to the awful plastic versions. In preparation for use, I cut each long piece in half and rounded the edges. Sewed round the edge with silk thread to prevent fraying. It then fit my mouth perfectly. I make it wet, as advised, before using it for the night. Stays in place ‘til morning. 100% comfortable. Very effective! For cleaning I followed their suggestions; soak in a bit of vinegar. (Wash and hang to dry afterwards.) CONS: Soooooo expensive! I’m hoping to look for some flax material and make my own. If they were more affordable I’d stick with this product.

I’d read good reviews about this guard on the direct company website and I figured I’d give it a try since it’s the only non-plastic all natural mouth guard I could find online. I used a bulky DenTek brand plastic night guard for 10+ years for my bruxism and it caused me to mouth breath every night from how bulky it was! Plus eat a bunch of microplastic from what my teeth would grind off of the mouth guard… This mouth guard stays in place through the night (yes really!) and the thinner material allowed me to sleep with my mouth naturally closed all night!! :) I’m sure I’ll continue to get more and more used to it as time goes on since last night was my first night sleeping with it, but I’m so relieved it works well for me! I did have to cut it for a better fit for my mouth so it’s not poking out or my mouth at all, but I got it right by only cutting small amounts off at a time until it was a perfect fit (I’d recommend using fabric scissors to cut it).

I'm dying to find an alternative to a plastic mouth guard, but sadly this wasn't it. Basically, it's just a piece of hemp fabric that doesn't stay in place, and in my case gave my psyche some permission to GRIND HARDER while I was sleeping. The first night it just fell out (somewhere in bed) and I had to reach for the second one; the second night it stayed in (getting used to it) but I woke up with the whole right side of my jaw in crazy pain...I had been grinding the thing all night. It's like if you put a piece os burlap in your mouth, and while asleep, there's nothing to prevent you from grinding: it just gives your jaw permission to grind harder. If the company wants to make one that works, they really need to craft one that is shaped around teeth, like a bleaching tray. Even if it fits loose-ish it will stay in place and the structure (a bit harder, I'm suggesting) will train the brain to not try to bite.

Think about what happens when you're grinding your teeth with plastic mouth guards, and where that grinded plastic goes, it makes me sick thinking about all the plastic you consume. In my search for an all natural solution, I was lucky to have found this hemp guard, it's such a simple solution, it stays in your mouth, you can trim the ends, I typically don't, and they have different thicknesses, I've tried thin, original, and thick, and the original is just right. Every morning I wake up and rinse off this guard, and then place in a cup and fill it with boiling water to disinfect, you could also use baking soda, vinegar, or any other method you deem safe. With this method, using daily, I could get 1-2 months of use out of each. So I buy in bulk. This brand really has saved me, the quality of my sleep has increased, and overall well being. I've also tried botox in the jaw, worked for a night, but that's all, and botox can be equally as harmful or even more so than plastic guards. Yes, the price is expensive, but slightly cheaper when you buy in bulk, in my opinion you can't put a price on health and quality of life. Wise purchase, and repeat customer for over a year now.

I have been looking for a mouth guard that wasn't made from some sort of plastic. Microplastics have been linked to heart disease and cancer so I don't want that in my mouth for several hours every night. I ran across this and thought I would try it. It actually works. I've gotten into a routine of boiling it every morning while making my tea, so that part isn't as odd as it first was. I have a high bite, so I was able to fold over the front part of it to be able to adjust for my teeth so the pressure is dispersed more evenly, so that worked out well. I have ideas that could improve the design but I doubt they would listen to me lol. The price is a little much also, but I will pay it to be able to avoid plastics.

I hate mouthgards. They feel like torture devices and leach toxins into your system. I give a hard side eye to the one’s claiming Bpa free cos I know there’s other unhealthful crap in there. My sleep, which was already not great became totally wrecked because of the constant awareness of a foreign bulky device in my mouth. This simple hemp mouthgard is different. It’s been a lifesaver. It took me about two nights to adjust but I noticed right away It was a better experience. I’ve been using it since early Oct but ordered another one jic this one starts to unravel. I love that it’s non toxic, just cotton and hemp, and can even be trimmed down to fit more comfortably. Pair this with Magnesium Glycinate and I’m probably having the best sleep of my life.

I started clenching my teeth in my sleep in January of 2023 during a stressful life event. Fortunately the stress has come and gone. However the clenching still remains and I haven't figured out how to stop yet. I've been using bpa free bite guards but I have never trusted that the plastic chemicals aren't being absorbed into my body. I have been searching for an organic bite gaurd here and there and this one popped up! It only had 4 reviews but they were all good reviews so I ordered immediately! Shipping was fairly quick and my order arrived neatly packaged in compostable packaging and with instructions. I'm only on night two of using it but I must say, it works!! My jaw has not popped for two days now. It forms to your teeth and stays in place all night. It is easy to clean and after just a little trimming it was pretty comfortable. The only thing that was a bit unexpected for me was the first time I put it my mouth (I tested it out during a short nap) I was drooling like crazy! I believe my body was trying to counter the dry hemp material in my mouth. This only happened one time but I think when I order more in the future, I will dampen them before I wear them the first time. If you are looking for a natural solution that is chemical free and actually helps, give this a try!

Cost too much for what it is. I didn’t find that it formed to my teeth as well as others have said and it made me feel that it might lodge in my throat during the night.
