The Beer Review
I couldn't care less how many sandwiches and yoghurts you can get into a cooler. Coolers are for beer, and beer comes in bottles, so we need an objective review for those who want cold beer.I've never bought a soft cooler before because they are all, without exception, total and complete junk. Soft coolers don't keep beer (or anything else) cold. So when a friend of mine turned up with one of these things you can imagine how I laughed at him. One boat trip later and I was prepared to admit that he had chosen wisely. These things are unbelievable. He left his cooler in the sun all day (an amateur mistake) in 90 degree heat, and when we got back his ice was still the same shape as when it went in, just slightly glossier - barely any melting at all, and just a small amount of melt water in the bottom. My cooler (that I constantly moved to keep it in the shade) came back with cold water and a few sad lonely ice cubes floating on top. I kept my share of the beer cold, but I was on the limit. Another hour or two and the beer situation would have become critical.I've since bought a 12 and a 24 pack cooler, and haven't used my hard coolers since. The 12 pack will comfortably fit 16 bottles of beer, and you can fill the rest of the space with ice. If running out of beer is problem (and lets be honest, when is running out of beer not a problem?) I can get 18 in with a little coercing, although there is less room for ice and you'll struggle a little with the zip (solution: drink one. Problem solved)The 24 pack will comfortably swallow 26 beers (30 at a pinch). I wouldn't recommend the 48 pack, I don't own one, but the 24 pack with 30 beers and ice is heavy enough. You'd never lift the 48. If you need the capacity I'd suggest two 24 packs. The only negatives with these coolers is that they don't have a water proof base, so you have to be careful about where you put it (think boats, puddles on the ground etc) and being soft sided, you can't sit on it. But the advantages far outweigh these little problems.I also love the way they don't look like coolers. You could take one of these to a funeral to down a cold one in the pews and no body would notice. You need never be more than 3 feet from a tasty brew ever again, and It'll always be icy cold.I've never seen one leak (several of us have them now). The little bottle opener on the zip will break after about 30 bottles, so forget using it, and don't leave them in the sun, being fabric they do fade.

Great for long road trips, but shape is a bit awkward
If you are using this for only cans, then you're all set. It easily fits a 24-pack of cans. But if you want to pack weirdly-sized things, like tupperware, or in my case frozen 2L bottles as icepacks, it's pretty narrow and shorter than it looks, and can make packing difficult.

Cooler works great. Very nice quality
Cooler works great. Very nice quality, with a clean interior liner and excellent insulation. The day I received it, I put two ice packs in the bottom, then the medicine I'm needing to keep cool, then two ice packs on top. Unfortunately I used plastic ziploc baggies to hold the ice in, so as it gradually melted the condensation and liquid water sped-up the warming process...I'm sure that if I'd used solid ice 'containers' it would have worked bette. As it was, the info listed in the product description is right-on...even with the ice melting, the temperature inside the bag (I used a wireless thermometer that I'd tested for a week in the fridge beforehand) stayed exactly at 2.5C. Perfect for my needs. Stayed that way for about 40 hours in a 70f room, then it began seriously melting and warmed as it did. After another 8 hours it had risen up to about 9.3C, and then after that became room temp. Again, this seems to be mainly due to the leaking ice-bags I used and not the cooler itself, although I'm going to be testing it again with hard ice-packs this weekend.I definitely recommend this cooler. As a soft cooler and good traveling container I've never seen a better quality one. Obviously it's not the PERFECT cooler, since stuff DOES eventually melt inside, but probably the only way to prevent that would be a portable fridge. Unpowered, with just ice inside, this baby kept my medicine cool for way past the amount of time I'd need (20-hour overseas flight). So I am more than happy with it.Also as a side note: I asked a question a while ago and had a hard time getting the answer: the interior measurements are about 8.5" wide by 16" long by 9" tall.

Great Cooler
We originally bought this cooler for a trip to Aruba and it worked out great. For the Air portion of the trip we used it as a carry on bag instead of a cooler (Dry goods only). It fit perfectly in the over head compartment and it fit nearly as much stuff as our normal carry on.When we got to Aruba we used it as a cooler. It's very well insulated, we loaded it up in the morning, added some ice from the hotel ice machine, spent the full day on the beach and returned with ice still in the cooler. Besides the convenience of not having to go to the bar for drinks, we saved many times the cost of the cooler by going to the super market and purchasing beer/soda etc instead of purchasing everything at the resort. On the return trip, we used the cooler as a carry on again. We also used this cooler on other local beach trips with the same great results.Does it really hold 24 cans plus ice? We loaded it with 18 cans and ices for the day with room to spare, so probably yes.The outside shell seems to be very durable. The inner lining also appears to be of good quality/thickness but we heeded warnings from other reviews and whether we used it as a cooler or carry-on we take care to never put anything with a sharp edge/point in the cooler and that includes bottle with caps that have a sharp edge. The result... we have had no leaks.I found the carrying strap to be more than adequate. A loaded cooler is heavy and the strap made carrying it fairly comfortable considering the weight.Like any cooler you need to keep it upright. The zipper is not a waterproof seal.Overall we are very happy with this cooler and it has already saved us more than it cost us.

Holds 12 Bottles of Water - 4 Ice Packs - And Keeps Things Cold
I previously purchased the Silver coloured 12 Pack Polar Bear cooler ( See My Review ) and decided I would purchased the Navy coloured 24 Pack for those larger outdoor events. The Navy colour is a soft deep navy blue that is very rich looking. When choosing the correct size for you're needs, its wise to keep in mind that the larger the cooler - the heavier they are to carry. For warranty be sure to register your cooler at www.polarbearcoolers.com.The inside vinyl liner of all Polar Bear Coolers is as thick or thicker than any pool liner and is a very beautiful glacier blueish / green colour. You can actually pull the liner outside of the nylon outer shell to clean it. The liner is still attached to the bag but it sure is a quick and easy way to clean the liner when when you have those occasional spills inside your cooler.Because all soft cooler expand and stretch the liner is not cut precisely to the inside shape of the bag. It is made larger for expansion for those that overfill their soft cooler and you will notice overlaps in the liner in the bottom of the bag. When you first get a Polar Bear cooler you put it back into shape by filling it full of hot water and snap it all up and leave it for 5 minutes. I left both of ours for 30 minutes and it was perfect in the end. The nylon outer covering is water proof and super durable and soft to the touch. The zipper and snaps are all quality and It comes with a plastic bottle opener and a shoulder strap. It's not much larger than the 12 Pack cooler on the outside, but it certainly holds significantly more on the inside. The 24 pack holds 12 bottles of water or bottles of beer standing upright, or 24 cans of pop laying ( stacked ) on their sides along with several Ice Packs. The 24 Pack unfortunately isn't quit large enough for a family weekend camping trip or any adventure where you need to transport food products as well as beverages. If you need anything larger than the 24 Pack I personally recommend you think of a "Hard Shell" for those type of events. This is a great size ( better than the 12 Pack ) for transporting meats or perishables for long periods of time.Like most things in life you only get what you pay for and in this case a few dollars more buys you a quality cooler that simply does what it says it's going to do: { KEEPS THINGS COLD }.

Ice lasted 4 days!
I bought this cooler to use for a 3 night canoe trip and packed it in my dry bag from MEC the scully 100l duffle...great bag. As another reviewer suggested, I froze 6 500ml water bottles and layer them on the bottom. Added my steak for one night, brochets for the next and a 1lb bag of shrimp..all frozen along with some yogurt and a few juice boxes etc. I cooked the shrimp night 3, cooked on the light my fire grandpa’s fire grill, another awesome product I picked up on amazon, and everything was still very cold. Day 4 there was still ice in the water bottles! This was great as we had fresh water to drink on our canoe ride out. It was early June so only mid 20’s and night was cooler, but I am confident it would hold up in hotter temps. I did make sure to keep it in the shade at all times. Love the product.

The Best and Coldest Soft Cooler on the Market!
This cooler is Amazing! I have tried many other soft coolers with less than satisfactory results but finally did my research and this one is a definite keeper. I purchased it for my back country camping trips so it goes through quite a bit of rough handling. I place 6 of the 500ml frozen bottles of water in the bottom with all my food/drinks on top and even after 3 hot days/nights outside the bottles are still half frozen so the insulation is really doing its job to keep the contents fresh and drinks very cold. The material is strong and durable and any dirt is easy to brush off or wipe clean. The handle easily withstands being hooked to a carabiner and hauled up by rope keeping it away from pesty critters. The website originally said about a week for delivery so I was shocked & absolutely thrilled when it was delivered the Next Day ...just in time for my weekend trip.I highly recommend this product and seller :)
