Fit perfectly
Worked perfectly. The hardest part was removing the old part. Great value for something you shouldn't need to ever replace again.

Replaced this with a bad carb and mower runs like new
Hard to believe this little thermowax made my auto choke mower start and run like new.

If you live in a hot climate, dont expect this to last or any replacement, bad Honda design
Unit has already failed and only slightly pass the refund window. No clue why Honda used such a horrible design to throttle control. Even the original one it only lasted 1 season. I dont think I'll ever buy a Honda 2 cycle ever again if the mower involves one of these. Probably works well in lower climate weather but is a horrible design for hot climates

Perfect fit
My honda hrx217vka decided it was going to stop running. At first, it seemed like the flywheel key, so I replaced it. That was fun (insert sarcasm), seeing as I know nothing about mowers and was going off Google and YouTube. Wasn't that. Thought it was the piston ring, but it wasn't that. By this time, I put it up for that year. Now to this year. Did a bit more digging once I finally got it to start, but it wouldn't stay running. I saw that it may be this or the carburetor, so I replaced both, and it is back to running like, well, lol, there is a reason they stopped making them, but it is doing its job now. This part was perfect! New one is shiny on the right.

Works well on Honda HRR216k9 or HRR2169 (home depot version of same machine)
I have an HRR2169 aka HRR216k9.. I was initially concerned that like last time it bent, as I could not restart from Hot...only the first time ... it was a fluke. it is working like it was new. one pull start cold one pull and it starts when hot. I am at only two uses since install lets see how it lasts

Solved my problems
I have a lawnmower with a Honda GCV160 engine. Middle of last years mowing season several different problems were noted and they seemed to alternate as time progressed. First it failed to start (1-2 pulls) as it always had (choke not closing). Then sometimes it would "load up" as though too much gasoline was getting into the engine (choke not opening). Tried a new spark plug - no change. Did some research on youtube and several folks were saying a "thermo wax" failure could cause the problems I was experiencing. My belief is that sometimes the "pin" in the end would not protrude as the engine warms (this OPENS the choke, otherwise too much gasoline) and other times it would stick with the "pin" protruding (this means NO CHOKE - hard start). BTW - Testing this before I installed it, I ran it and the OEM under 160F hot water. The OEM WOULD move, this one would not. Then I used a heat gun (could reach 1000F) and this thermo wax worked properly. Lesson ? - If you want to test this before installing, use some heat source greater than the hot water that comes out of your tap -- match, lighter, etc. (Maybe boiling water would work, but I didn't try that.) In conclusion, this seems to have fixed the problems I was having. First start of the season and it almost ran on the 1st pull -- second pull, it fired up and ran as smooth as it had when brand new. Very satisfied.

This parts works in Honda 186cc engine.
I gambled that this thermowax would be compatible with my Husqvarna lawnmower's Honda 186cc engine, even though that engine size isn't included in the vendor's product listing. (The Amazon note that this is a frequently-returned item definitely gave me pause for thought, but I figured that a loss of the return shipping cost was an acceptable gamble.) However, it fit perfectly, and worked like a charm after installing it; no more engine "surging" because of stuck choke. 100% recommended.

Thankful for this part after trying everything else, lawn mower is back!
After cleaning the carb, buying new air filter and cleaning various other parts I was about to give up, ChatGPT pointed out this little part and turns out that was the problem. Saved me from throwing the lawn mower out, went in fairly easily and instantly its back to working as it should.

It works!
Started my mower after I replaced it! It worked Product update: Three weeks later , mower would not come off choke! Took it in to small engine repair, and thermo wax was hooped! Had genuine Honda part put in! Lesson learned! Would not recommend the cheap alternative!
