This thing has too many pockets without a doubt, but it is not as bulky as I feared. I kinda love it. I take it paddle boarding, not wearing it most of the time, but all of time it’s great for storage. Instead of a bag + vest, I can store my keys/phone/snacks/etc in it and only bring it. A couple of the pockets look waterproof, but they won’t keep anything bone dry. Even with just splashes of water it was moist inside. Fine for a modern phone and keys but I would test it for a fob. Don’t know about its certification but it seems to work fine as a floatation device with the inserts installed. The “shortness” and light weight of it makes it good for paddle boarding.

I got this for my first attempt at paddle boarding - and I was glad I had it. It has plenty of pockets that you can pop a water bottle, bandana, phone (in waterproof pouch), keys, snacks into. Easy to wear - zips up front. The orange color is bright & easy to spot if you are across the water from your pal. I was in pretty shallow water, didn't think I'd need this for floating, but: when I got close to the river bank I hopped of to stand and sank into very goopy, suctioning mud! After I got my feet free, I realized the best way to firmer ground was to float...so I just laid back & floated my way to shore. This vest floated me to safety.

This is the second one I’ve bought because it’s such a good model. So comfortable. When kayaking, I completely forget that I have it on. Very easily adjustable. I thought the pockets would be “overkill,” but I use them: sunglasses, sunscreen, house key, whistle, SPF gloves, etc. An excellent product.

I was needing something multi-purpose to save some room in my small 2 person boat. This vest has numerous pockets plus serves as a flotation device. It is lightweight and comfortable, overall I would recommend this vest.

It is definitely not coast guard approved. Everything about it is light duty. The pockets are well thought out and it’s comfortable to wear and paddle it. It will excel in holding fishing gear and accessories. That being said, this vest should never be used in swift water or the ocean. All the buckles and zippers are very light duty, only a zipper keeps it secured to your person. I guarantee it will fail if subjected to getting spin cycled in a rapid or ocean waves. I ended up folding the foam panel in the back in half and stitching the mesh together to keep it up high. I wanted it to be able to clear the top of my kayak seat. Tight lines!

What a great fit and light weight with no pulling or pinching under my arms nor riding up in my neck and don't get me started on the amount of POCKETS ! I love this for me!

Great vest for a great price. The vest is extremely lightweight, and made of mesh in most parts, so it is breathable and sheds water easily. All the flotation compartments can be opened so you can remove of change any of the floatation foam to fit your needs. The shoulders are great and allow the full range of movement without the vest rubbing on anything. Paddling is a breeze. They go a little overboard with all of the rope zipper pulls. I took a few off, but they do work well.

Honestly, these are absolutely sick. Me (6’1” 220 lbs) and my wife (5’5” 120 lbs) both fit into the life jacket. There are tons of pockets. None are waterproof as they all have drain holes.

What I expected but don't over fill pockets or it will loose it's buoyancy.

Not standards certified or rated but appears to be great quality (only used it once so far). I use for skiff sailing and the pockets are very useful. Comfortable to wear, even with crotch straps in use. Would get an extra star if it had certification.
