Q: Are they opaque or transparent?

These are opaque with a light iridescent glaze. Very pretty.

Q: Can these be glued on ceramic tile squares? If so what kind of glue?

I use tile adhesive or weld bond to adhere the tiles

Q: Can these be foiled and soldered?

I am sure they could be. They are just ceramic flowers. I used mine in a mosaic project but I am sure you could foil them. They are very pretty.

Q: Are these suitable for use outdoors (ie - high fired)?

I believe they are. I felt like I had an abundace of one color. I used mine with some smaller ones and broken plates for a tray bottom. 1 lb is not a lot on these.
