Much better than 0.8mm version
I started my puck screen journey when they first became popular, using a thick wire mesh screen. I liked how it kept my group cleaner, but I hated that it took up so much headspace - I had to reduce my dose by around a gram to accommodate the thickness of the screen. I few months ago I switched to Normcore's 0.8mm screen. I hated it. It didn't distribute water evenly through its honeycomb structure, leaving marks on the top of the puck beneath the holes. And yes, I had the screen right side up, with the side with the holes facing up into the group. The 0.8mm screen was was also hard to remove after brewing. I love this 0.2mm screen. It gives perfectly even water distribution. It is easily removed using suction from your palm. Although very thin, it is also quite rigid, and I expect it to hold up well with wear.

Great thin screen
This is a great thin screen as it combines a very thin topper for your puck that keeps that shower screen clean and spreads the water evenly. Best of all, it is easy to clean... worth repeating, it is easy to clean. For me, better than the mesh.

Great product
The ultra-slim .2mm puck screen works beautifully in my Gaggia Classic Evo Pro machine. I've been using it for over a year, and it helps keep the machine's screen clean. Tips: Use about a gram's less coffee than without the puck screen; if you can't get the portafilter in, take out some of the coffee. Also, I use a straw-sized bottle brush to get out all of the grounds after use, and it works like a charm.

So nice!
This is so nice compared to the standard portafilter disc. The thinness makes it so much easier to clean and to make sure coffee grounds or anything else are getting in there. I took the advice of other reviewers, and I set my puck screen on the top of my espresso machine to heat instead of leaving the screen in the portafilter. The screen is sooooo thin it does seem like it could be easily bent or distorted, so I take care to not put any unnecessary pressure on it. I would highly recommend upgrading to this style of puck screen.

Works but not durable
Really believe itโs better than the thicker screens and had great results with it. My only complaint is the structural durability is compromised where they stamped their logo. After about a year in parts of the metal broke and now the espresso finds its way through during extraction. Not sure to buy the same one again or look for a better design

Espresso portafilter screen
Easier to clean than flair 58mm screen. Does it improve my espresso taste? Can't tell a difference.

Seemed to resolve any channeling I had
Super thin but strong. Inspecting my pucks it seems to have eliminated any lingering channeling issues I had (and I don't do any WDT). Made for a splatter-free experience with my new bottomless portafilter! Due to the black color, I do worry about accidentally throwing it out if I forget to fish it out of my knock-box when it sticks to the puck, but so far so good!

Excellent quality, blends in with coffee grounds.
This high quality filter is absolutely worth the purchase! It keeps the espresso machine screen head much cleaner and reduces cleaning time. The quality is fantastic, size fits perfectly, but it doesn't come in a color besides black at t his size. Be careful not to throw it in the trash with your grounds (or garbage disposal)!

Made the puck wetter
DIdn't feel it made much difference in the espresso, but made the cleaning harder as the pucks was wet and mostly stuck inside the portafilter.

Normcore 58.5mm Ultra-Slim 0.2 mm Puck Screen
If you place this normcore puck screen 0.2 into empty portafilter and go through usual espresso making procedure, the screen could bend. If it is happened you can straighten it back: put it in the pan under press, pour water and boil for 20 minutes or so. Then straighten with gloves on.

very delicate but works
i think this thinner version is pretty good. i tried a thicker brandless one previously and felt wasnt as useful the thinner profile helps alot with distribution without alter the pressure drop. Only thing it is really thin. afraid i might bend it:D
