Q: Would you recommend this as opposed to a traditional loofah?

Traditional loofahs have more of a rougher texture and will lightly exfoliate. This brush is made of silicone and has very soft, long bristles. This brush will not exfoliate at all...regardless of what the description states. I returned mine because of this reason, it was just too soft. But, I was also looking for exfoliation. It’s a really well made product and worth the price if your looking for a very soft feel. This would be great for the bath, especially if you have a baby or little kids. If you’re looking for something other than a loofah for exfoliating, I highly recommend the Supracor (also sometimes called Stimulite) Bath Mitt. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but you’ll have it for years and it will change your skin for the better. It’s naturally antibacterial and mildew resistant and it exfoliates sooooooo well! Here’s a link to the one I bought - I absolutely love and adore it!! I have had 4 coworkers, 6 family members and about 15 friends order this mitt after they tried mine lol. Trust me, this bath mitt will change your shower game lol. No opening for a bar of soap. You can use liquid or a bar. Love this scrubber.

Q: Do you think this would work for washing dishes? I tired of replacing my brushes so often and am looking for something to last.

I think food would get stuck inside of it. You’d be better off with much shorter scrubbing bristles. Try searching for “silicone scrubber for dishes”.

Q: What is the best way to clean this brush?

This brush rinses clean so easily. It has a lot of bristles but rinses clean very quickly. I prop it up when I finished so the water drains each time I use it. It is a wonderful bathing brush.
