Great battery upgrade for a '92 Club Car DS (With helpful install tips!) ​This 36V lithium-ion battery has been absolutely phenomenal. My golf cart is significantly lighter, has much better acceleration, and a longer range with the higher capacity. The screen is high-quality, and it has already survived heavy rain. ​The installation was easy overall, but if you are putting this in a '92 Club Car DS, there are a few important things to keep in mind: ​🛠️ Installation & Wiring Tips ​Charger Removal: You must remove the factory charger on a '92 DS. ​V-Glide System: Make sure to connect the black wire from the V-Glide system directly to the negative (black) terminal on the battery. ​External Lights (Front/Rear): This battery will not run your 12V lights directly. You will either need a voltage step-down converter or a spare 12V lead-acid battery. I managed to fit a spare lead-acid battery right alongside the lithium one to power my lights. ​Fitting & Modifications: To route the cables, I had to cut a bit of the plastic by the footwell. The cables run toward the front, but you can easily cover them with a floor mat. I also cut small notches under the aluminum seat-rest frame so the positive and negative wires could slip through cleanly. ​📱 App & BMS Troubleshooting ​A lot of reviewers mentioned issues with the BMS, but as long as you use the proper gauge wires and the right software, it works flawlessly. ​The App: If you are on Android, download the Lossigy or Overkill Solar app. ​Fixing Screen or Charging Issues: If your screen won't turn on, your cells get unbalanced, or your charger keeps tripping breakers/shutting off, you can fix it all in the app. Just turn on the "Balancing" feature, and it clears right up. There is nothing wrong with the battery cells or screen you just have to enable balancing don't listen to the "Robotic engineer" comment, this is not complicated it's not science. Make sure every toggle switch is in the proper position on the screen and app. ​A Word of Caution: The bms screen and app have settings to block charge flowing in or power flowing out. There are also settings that turn off the screen in such a case you would have to download the Lossigy or overkill solar app to turn the screen on. Be very careful what you tinker with in there! ​I wish the physical screen had a dedicated battery balancing button on it so you don't have to open the app. Other than that, it’s an incredible upgrade. I had the money for another one of these batteries, I would gladly buy one for my other golf cart. While most newer installs won't require so much modification, an older 36-volt Club Car DS definitely requires some mutilation to make everything fit. My installation is a bit sloppy. I did however work for a golf cart company and these installs are very simple.

Well, Short version: I am an electronics/robotics engineer. Very familiar with this particular technology. Bought a new boat in 2023 and wanted a 12v LiPo for my center console to run my Garmin live sonar. A 36V purchased at the same time, for a motor guide 36v spot lock trolling motor. Both would be less than a year old, IF either still worked. Too heavy to practically return. Results - 12V BMS failed within the first 2 months. Using a victron LiPo charger. Replaced with Lithium marine 12v....same charger and zero issues since. - 36V: purchased at the same time as the 12V. Circuit is isolated, nothing connected unless I physically plug in the trolling motor. I had a couple of months of medical this spring (approximately 2.5 months of no use). My 12V starter battery and the 12V lithium marine both maintained 100%. this 36V drained to zero % with nothing connected to drain :(. Though I can still see the battery, the charger will not supply any charge and it remains at zero. I would assume that it's a failed BMS, but in any event, no response from service and it's unusable. Boat is kept under cover, and the charger still spins up without issue. Breaker and fuses all good. For the money, extremely disappointed at least for me I will not be purchasing this brand again. Perhaps if I got some response from service, always willing to consider, but a battery really isn't rocket science. Since it is their supplied charger, pretty terrible results within a year of use :(

I replaced 4 lead acid batteries in my golf cart and so far this is much better. No more leaking acid onto my concrete when charging and the battery percentage gauge is a great feature. I should have made the switch sooner. A couple months so far and doing great.

I forgot to review this when we first got. But now I can say it was an excellent purchase. Holds a charge well. Very happy with this purchase.

Great battery! The cost is about the same as most other manufacturers that have plastic cases. I have installs over 20 of these with ZERO issues. Make sure to order a voltage reducer for you lights and and AC charge port when you purchase this battery.
