Last year I bought an Oral B Pro 4 as it had a lion battery and was towards the top of the range. A great brush, slightly better than any other Oral B I have had in the last 10 years, and a good price on Amazon in the Jan sale. I read great things about the IO range recently, and that they were all the same (ie Io3-Io9) other than connectivity, displays, faster charging etc, so I went for the basic Io 3 from Amazon Warehouse at a good price. It is like the difference between B+W and a colour tv; a push bike and an electric bike; a propellor plane and a jet; compared to the pro 4. Instead of a buzz it whines it goes so fast, the brush must rotate 30 x faster, it is near silent, but so powerful, it is an increadible clean. There is literally no comparison between the Io range and the Pro range. HIGHLY recommended, you will not need another brush, ever. The heads are a bit more than the Pro 4 heads, but I got two from Oral B (when registering the brush, which gets it a 3 year warranty) for fifteen lbs on an offer they had so that's virtually a year's worth. And you don't buy a Ferrari and put cheap tyres on it off a Fiesta! Buy the base brush the Io 3, it's the same as the Io 9 basically without the fast charging and colour display and 6 modes you will never use.

This is an update. The toothbrush has been quite unreliable. It often doesn't charge, and has to be reset etc, which is not ideal. It holds probably 3 days of charge for 2 people using twice daily. End of update. This is a really good toothbrush, simple designs and nothing fancy on features. You can only work out what settings you are on by listening to it. But most importantly, do not be fooled by the so-called 'discount'. The actual price is 59 GBP. This is not a massive discount but the price the product is sold for. It only hits the higher price 150 GBP for a couple of weeks every couple of months.

I had the cool environmentally friendly toothbrush that’s become all the rage in recent years but it just wasn’t doing the job on plaque build up. It did look pretty though. This is a much more robust brush and actually makes my teeth feel cleaner. I wish it was more environmentally friendly but I want to keep my teeth for a little bit longer.

I've had this toothbrush since March 2026 and have previously had their older model Oral B toothbrush which lasted me for over 4 years. This iO model is awful, impossible to clean properly and grows mould inside the handle and on each toothbrush no matter how much I clean them both and in what. Awful design compared to the original. Would not buy again and will need to buy a new one purely due to being unable to clean this one to a good standard due to the design of it. Also thr heads I keep purchasing I need to change monthly if not more often. Money wasted.

I like that it has multiple modes, including teeth whitening, and it’s easy to switch between them. The design is sleek, and the charging is fast and convenient. Overall, it’s a solid toothbrush that makes daily oral care feel a bit more high-tech and effective.

This toothbrush replaces a ~2 year old one that (a) was no longer holding the head securely, and (b) the battery was getting v weak. I opted for the iO one because the mechanism for holding the head looks improved (but the heads are more expensive). Also, I hope the Li battery will be an improvement. First impressions are that the toothbrush does a good job of cleaning my teeth. I don't need an app to clean my teeth, just the 30 sec timer per quadrant for cleaning - and it does all that. The big problem I have is with the handle: specifically, it is made from a very smooth plastic. Whilst brushing my teeth this gets wet and covered with toothpaste, and the handle gets slippery. So, it slips through my hand, and I have to keep on adjusting the position. This is really annoying, and would not occur if it was designed well. I'm deciding whether or not to return the unit... PS There are SO many Oral B toothbrushes and it's a task to choose one!

Recommended by Harvard Medical this is the best entry level electric toothbrush for you add to your arsenal. A few important considerations you would want to keep in mind to get the most out of it: 1) HYGIENIC USAGE TO AVOID MOULD: You need to take apart & rinse the foam off the brush after every use, leave the head as well as the handle to air dry outside to avoid growth of mould from moisture that gets trapped in spots you cannot reach if the brush isn’t opened up. If you’re lazy and just throw your brush around in your bathroom, this is not for you. I’ve gotten used to this ritual after every use and just leave both parts to air dry in a glass and have never faced any issues with mould. 2) PAIR WITH A SOFT MANUAL TOOTHBRUSH FOR COMPLETE CLEANING: This does not completely replace a manual toothbrush. I still use a regular manual toothbrush followed by my IO3 and my teeth feel the best they have. One does not replace the other. The iO3 can reach spots your manual toothbrush cannot, and guides you on the perfect pressure to apply to your teeth. Another friend I recommended this to and started using it was advised by his dentist to not give up manual brushing during his checkups. I have found the best solution is to employ both methods to cover all aspects of cleaning your teeth. My teeth have felt the healthiest, cleanest and brightest since I have combined both. 3) BRUSH HEADS NEED TO BE REPLACED EVERY 3 MONTHS: They’re readily available on Amazon however this will be a recurring cost, so keep that in mind. Still cheaper than paying thousands at the dentist, so the cost is worth it. 4) DOES NOT HAVE FAST CHARGING LIKE THE IO8/9: I tend to leave it overnight for a 0 - 100 charge so it’s not a problem for me, but something to keep in mind for your daily usage. If you can go for the next model, I would recommend it for the screen as well as the fast charging.

I wasn’t sure if an electric toothbrush would make a big difference, but the Oral-B iO3 has completely changed my mind. Within just a few days, my teeth felt so much cleaner, and I noticed a brighter smile. The round brush head does an amazing job reaching every part of my mouth, even those tricky spots at the back. The pressure sensor is super helpful—I used to brush too hard, and now I know exactly how much pressure to use. I also love the different cleaning modes. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and the battery lasts a long time. Brushing has become something I look forward to, and my teeth have never felt better!

Good product, just would want a extra brush head with it and the battery goes down very fast, you all need to fix that too
