Very durable bit that I used to reduce the thickness of full planks
Perfect for my task and I can truly attest to the durability now. I had to reduce the thickness of some pine planks to fit for a project. Instead of spending a lot on an electric pass-through planer, I tried this surfacing router bit. I set the depth on my router to 3/16" and went over my boards twice to reduce their thickness by 3/8" inches. These were 8x 5 foot planks and each one needed about 10 passes to complete. My router is cordless and I had a battery cycle running laps through 4 batteries but I got through the task and this sturdy little bit held up and was still making clean cuts. I literally put about 40 sq ft of wear and tear on this bit over the 3 days it took to finish.

Effective
It works verry well for a cheap bit, my only real complaint is dulls out quickly and leaves burn marks verry easily little to easy. But in camparison to the high end bits and their price its verry cost effective and works for couple projects

Great bit! Leaves a nice surface finish and easy to swap out if you have other 1/4 shafts you use.
Just received this bit, used it on a few pieces of walnut and maple. it left a very nice surface finish! The tolerances are spot on and its a great bargain for the price. The extra width allows it to remove more material quicker for the larger areas and pockets. Its nice that it has a 1/4 shaft so I don't need to switch collets between router bits. Works well, easy to use!

Quality bit for the price
I surfaced a 24" by 30" slab of oak with this bit and a forty year old Craftsman router. It did the job with no problem with fantastic results. Yes the bit is bit short because it's a 1/4" shank but I knew that going in and when I made my surfacing jig table I compensated for that. Within a couple of minutes of my learning curve I was amazed by the results. I bought two bits just in case but the first one is still sharp. I only took off maybe an eight of an inch every time and let the router do the work without forcing it too hard. Very happy with the performance. Very happy with the purchase!

Nice bit!
I bought this flattening bit to go with the router I use in my router sled. It's a 2-inch diameter so it cuts a good amount with every pass. So far, it has held up well, with no issues with the sharpness. It's less expensive than some, so that's a good quality, since it is holding up so well. I recommend it.

Pretty good bit
Use this to level my spoilboard on a Longmill Mk2, works great. With the head trammed, no visible marks on my MDF spoilboard. Only caveat is there were "fuzzies" left behind on the outer perimeter with a .5mm depth of cut @ 1500mm/min. I am very new to this so it could be used error but could also be sharpness if the bit. Could've spent more on potentially a better bit but for the money, I am happy with this. Also levelled a slab of walnut with this bit and had no fuzz but had step over beyond the perimeter of the cut. All in all I would say I would purchase this bit again. 1.5 month update: Have been using this bit more to flatten reclaimed hardwoods and pine slabs. It's been working excellent so long as I make sure to cut outside the slab on the final pass. I messed up big-time in a hurry and collided with one of my aluminum hold-downs. Took 1/8" off the top before I hit the e-stop and shut it down. Have surfaced a few pieces since and it's still milling strong. No marks/ lines after a cut. Maybe I got lucky but I will grab another one of these when this one is done being abused by this novice.
