Toshiba MQ01ABD050 500GB SATA 3GB/s 5400RPM 2.5 Inch 9.5mm Internal Hard Drive

This hard drive has been performing exactly as expected. It was a good price when I bought it, making it a great value for the money. In terms of performance, the hard drive works flawlessly. It handles all my storage needs efficiently, and I haven’t encountered any issues. It’s reliable and does its job well, which is all you can ask for from a hard drive. I have no complaints about this product. If I ever need another hard drive in the future, I would probably get the same one again. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for dependable storage at a reasonable price.

Was very pleased with this. Needed to replace hard drive on daughter's Acer Aspire 5720 laptop which had been knocked over when running and must have caused the hard drive heads to touch the surface of the platten as Windows just keep re-starting before the log in screen stage. Luckily I managed to salvage most of the data by popping the drive into our desktop and running a CHKDSK repair so that it was recognised by Windows and I could read from it (rather than using it to boot from). Anyway, that was a 160GB Western Digital unit. The new Toshiba drive is 500GB. Same physical dimensions as the old one, just had to swap the laptop mounting rails over from the old drive and hey presto! The new drive is very quiet and so far has performed without any difficulty. Obviously I had to reinstall Windows on it. Packaging from the supplier was very good (a small box holding the drive with foam insert which was then inside a bigger outer box for protection).

Bought this hard drive as a replacement for the one that had failed in my Freeview recorder. Identical model to the original, and fairly simple to swap. Now working again.

My buddy had a failed hard disk on his ageing laptop, not looking to spend a fortune we decided to purchase this disk as it fitted in with his financial restraint's!! On receipt I fitted it, reloaded the operating system and all the relevant software, and hey ho the mutts nuts, it has been 5 weeks plus and there has been no mention of any problems, so it looks like a great product at the right price so far. Always good to know that the product comes with a 3 year warranty be it limited, but hey by then the laptop in question my be replaced. So in conclusion - product arrived well packed, correct item and done what it said on the tin!! Magic........All ahead full Mr Zulu!!

I got the 500GB of this drive to go with an external USB 3.0 enclosure https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LS31KQG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to make a nice (and cheaper) alternative to a 512GB USB memory stick thumb drive thingy. OK, so the capacity is only 465GB (after formatting etc) but at under £30 along with the above enclosure I reckon it's good value for money. It's being put through its paces as I type - it's already had over 200GB of data transferred to it, and then deleted, the transfer rate dropped quite a bit for the second onslaught (down to 30MB/sec), so I gave it a Quick Format and the transfer rate was back up to speed (about 110MB/sec from both my internal HDD and an external USB 3.0 HDD). OK, so it doesn't fit in the pocket like a good memory stick, but when it's capacity you want along with reasonable speed (yes, I know there are memory sticks faster than this - I have a couple - but they cost rather more than this did) then this seems to be just the ticket. Plus, it's Toshiba - a well-known and respected brand, not some new no-name/almost random combination of letters name brand that may be here today and gone tomorrow. I'm happy; I just hope it lasts...

Bought this to replace my dead ps4 Pro harddrive. Blue light of death, safemode restart did nothing so Followed youtube tutorial how to replace hardive which was the last option. Easy to install. My Ps4 is now alive and working perfectly fine.my only regret was not buying a more powerful hard drive like a more expensive sold state drive. Reason being I wasn't sure if it was my original hardive was the issue so bought the cheaper hardrive as a test..anyway. this hardrvie works fine as a replacement ps4 hardive. Good quality for the price.

Bought this hard drive as a replacement for the one which failed in my Freesat recorder. Identical to the original, and an easy straight swap. Just a small torx bit for the case screws and a flat blade to lever the cover apart, then a multipin plug to swap over. Have tried the new one and works perfectly. Beats buying a new Freesat box for £200.

I was in need of a hard drive because my desktop installed wd hard drive suddenly got damaged with all the datas in it! I was looking for a hard drive of low price tag but good performance when I came accross this one by Toshiba! It is meant for laptops but you can use it for desktop as well without any modification etc. I installed it & it performed like a charm! Very good performance & speed @7200 rpm! Guys, go for it & you will love its performance! A very very good product by Toshiba, selected & distributed by Amazon! Many many thanks to you all !
