York 25kg Black Cast Iron 1 Inch Plate

I ordered 4 of these bad boys (much to the complaint of the delivery driver!) and I must say I'm incredibly pleased that I did. Just getting back into lifting after a few years out (sucked in to that boring work routine!) I used to use vinyl weights but always struggled to get a decent lift as it's impossible to get a heavy load using vinyl. Iron is strong, heavy, it's not going to break or perish and you're going to wish you'd started using iron plates much sooner. I now spend less time loading up the bar and more time lifting. These are perfect for challenging yourself with any barbell lifting. Just make sure you've got a strong enough bench and bar!!

What more to say, it's solid, it's heavy, it fits standard bars, and it's incredible value (especially with free delivery).

Really good weights, well made - heavy for 1" plates and came very quickly. Very, very expensive though. I saw a previous review of someone who was at odds to pay £45 per plate - I paid £80.

Great plates, well made and will last a lifetime.

Got 2 of them, excellent addition to my home gym, they are accurate weight, look good, everything you could want from a weight disc.

I have just added a pair of the 25kg discs to my weight training equipment, and, as with the 20 and 15kg discs, they are bang on the advertised weight. The 25kg discs are the same diameter as the 20kg discs, but thicker, with the 15kg discs being slightly smaller in diameter. They may seem expensive, but you do get what you pay for, and will be safe in the knowledge that your barbell will be perfectly balanced when going for those personal bests.

Decent sized disc. Not much else to add

The hole is way too small for a standard barbell, so what is this plate for?
