Wonderful for keeping trainer socks in place on your heels. Turn to mix well, a couple of drops in the palm of your hand, rub both palms together & dab both palms on your heels & lower heels. Allow a minute to dry, pop on your socks & trainers & that's it until you take them off.

I bought this on a recommendation to use for sticking plasters, as I can never get them to last on my skin for more than a few minutes. It really works and leaves a tacky reside for the plaster to stick to. It doesn't cause me any irritation and I have sensitive skin. It also doesn't make the plaster difficult to remove when desired. I am so glad someone told me about this

I have a different use for this product... To stop my glasses sliding down my nose. Benzoin Tincture is the stuff which doctors place on wet skin to get steristrips (butterfly stitches) to stick down reliably. It leaves a dry, but slightly sticky residue which I find is perfect for keeping my glasses in place. I put the tincture on the 'temple tips' - the bits of the glasses which go behind the ears, and it seems to work well. You might also consider putting it on the bridge of the nose, but I don't find that necessary. Perhaps this snippet of information would be useful to someone else out there.

This stuff is fantastic, also called 'friars balsam' this is better & cheaper. Used it in the military for 26 years to treat blisters. Doing the Pennine way next month, so stocking up, blisters are a certainty. This stuff will sort you right out, if you inject it into the blister. I mix this stuff with surgical spirit & iodine in a small plastic bottle. Get some cheap syringes & blunt needles, all available on here, inject into blister, scream for 10 minutes. Apply moleskin, duck tape & foot powder, dry your eyes & tab on....Miracle cure.

I bought this to aid tape adhesion when pre taping for long distance running. It doesn't go tacky as expected. I spoke to Mystic Origins , this is the same formulae that's been sold for a few years, but I was told that a few people have been in contact about the same non sticky issue.

Taping toes and feet when you have blisters etc can often be problematic as the tape comes loose too easily, particularly when you sweat. Tincture of Benzoin makes your skin extremely sticky so the tape adheres better. It also has a light antiseptic action. Product arrived quickly to Ireland from UK and has worked brilliantly.

I had trouble with my glasses slipping off my nose at the gym and someone recommended this to me for that. Rubbed a bit on the bridge of my nose with a cotton bud, let it dry and headed off. After some serious sweating my glasses stayed put. It doesn't smell great, but it's not horrible and passes.

This is a very dilute solution. Oder would suggest it has a lot of alcohol added. I will look for a better quality product.
