Mooncat Waterless Cat Shampoo for Long Hair Cats, No-Rinse, Detangling Foam

One of my cats is a long hair that gets so, so stinky sometimes. Using this was so easy. He was a little spooked by the sound of the pump but he's a big fraidy cat when it comes to compressed air or febreeze so I should have known. I pumped it away from him then came at him with the foam in hand when he wasn't looking and then he let me do it. Massaging it in was super easy. He didn't mind the smell since while it's noticable it's super light. It's double the thickness of foamy hand soap. It DOES leave a slight film but it feels more powdery than sticky. I don't mind because my cats fur hasn't matted once since I washed him with this. My cat tried to lick himself right afterwards and didn't care for it right after but he was back to it after a day, as if that film rubbed off or melted away. It left his fur super soft and silky for about a week. This is worth the money and performed exactly the way I expected. I'll definitely be keeping this stocked in my house!

This is an excellent product. The fragrance is light and pleasant.

I have a big fatty Maine Coon mix who has trouble cleaning his back so he gets greasy and has dandruff. I've been using pet wipes for a long time but his layers of fur prevent them from being fully effective. This waterless shampoo was easy to work down further into the layers but I think it'll take me some practice to work it in all the way. His fur did feel a little filmy after, but better than dirty. My cat HATES being brushed or cleaned, with this product he didn't put up a fight. I think it was more like petting than a wipe, and he might have felt cleaner so he was relieved. There's one pretty obvious downside... the smell is heavy. It's a nice perfume scent, but it's heavy and it lasts. With two cats in the house, their relationship can be thrown off if their smell changes so dramatically. Luckily, I don't have to clean my whole cat, just his back. I'm happy with the way this works but will probably try something similar when it runs out because of the scent.

All of my cats are rescues and never had a bath, they freak out whenever I try, I’ve gotten war scars to show for it. This is a way better alternative, not that I use it often bc they do clean themselves. Sometimes stuff happens! They don’t seem to mind the smell or thickness and it doesn’t cost much! Plus no more battle scars!!!

If my cat is soiled I need to wash it out. This is a wet shampoo that doesn't need to be washed out but then it just adds scent and no cleaning ability. I guess it is as effective as a pet wipe if you put it on a paper towel in a pinch. It smells nice, it did not give my cat any skin irritation but it is not effective if you are cleaning a soiled cat.

Worked pretty good! I will use it again. Dissolved mats and cleaned the oil.

We have a senior kitty and she has long since decided that "getting groomed" -is much prefered over herself grooming! Enter the waterless shampoo...I absolutely love this stuff! Fantastic light, fresh smell and you only need a pump or two making the value fantastic! It smells great and with continued use is super moisturizing for their skin! Its kitty super senior approved at our home!

I’m really disappointed. My guy really needed something low stress to help with a mess with his fur. Pros: It’s nice that this product can go on and theoretically be safe to not rinse off. (Theoretically because I’m wary of their judgment now) Cons: so unhappy with how overwhelming the scent is. Description says gentle, subtle. My guy is overwhelmed, shuddering and sneezing from the smell… 24 hours later. I am also sneezing. Go for unscented - cats are already stressed to lose their own scent from a bath. Returning and can’t order this again.

My cats don't mind this shampoo, it's a win in my books

The shampoo doesn’t do what it claims. My cat (long hair) smelled bad after using it. It’s a waste of money. I will never buy again.

The smell was so bad, I had to wash it off my cat (rendering the point of dry shampoo useless). I was worried it was going to make her sick. It smelled like bug repellant - alcohol and bad chemicals. I returned immediately.
