VINGLI 16x32ft Solar Pool Cover 12mil Rectangle Blue

My husband loves this solar cover. The darker color seems to help heat the pool more quickly, and it’s noticeably thicker and sturdier than the one we looked at from the pool store, which was almost twice the price. It fits well, appears durable, and has been a great value for the money. We’d definitely purchase it again. ☀️🏊‍♀️

I’ve had this cover on a 17x38 inground pool and it does a fantastic job of reducing water evaporation which is of primary concern in costly southern CA. It also does a great job of retaining heat - although in summer the pool can actually get too hot, which is not good for salt water pools, so be sure to manage it carefully and not let the pool get over, say, 94 degrees F. So far no flaking or degradation. The thicker material provides a lot of durability. In the summer, I roll up the cover during the day - or half way since I understand the cover might block UV-B rays that destroy chlorine - and at night I unroll it to minimize evaporation.

I ordered this for a 16x32 rectangular in ground pool with stairs at the end. I went with the 18x36 and cut it down - it was the perfect length to cover the pool plus the steps. I also purchased a reel at the same time. I doubled up the end and connected it to the reel. One person can take the cover off fairly easily. With two people it is easy. Putting the cover on with one person can be done. It is way easier with two people. The cover definitely kept the pool warmer. We never had a cover the first couple of years and noticed a big difference. During the heat of the Kentucky summer the pool would reach over 90 degrees. We have a heater but do not run it unless we are in the spring or fall. The cover also dramatically reduced the leaves and creatures that get into the pool. Another benefit was the reduction in chlorine usage. Our pool is salt water and the generator would normally be on 60%. With the cover installed, the chlorine levels shot up so I dropped the generator to 10 or 20% and it kept pace. I didn’t add salt for the majority of the season and thought something was wrong! The cover was worn out after the second season and I am purchasing a replacement now. I am surprised that the price is still the same after two years. For 85 bucks per season, this cover is well worth the money.

I’m glad I caught this deal, great value for the money. 12 mil is pretty thick and the quality is superior. I am very pleased. I realized that if the thickness isn’t listed it means it’s thin. I bought this one to replace the thin bubble wrap with I received in my last order. A solar cover is definitely a have to have when you can’t afford a heater or solar panels. Raises the water temp enough where you don’t need to adjust to cold water. Another great thing about a cover is that it will help keep debris out of your pool. Our pool is a few feet from a tree and it throws spinners like crazy. It’s a pretty blue that looks so nice when on. I didn’t experience any stickiness. As far as ease of installation, one person is possible but two is better. Because it’s so thick, it makes it heavier to put on especially if you throw it on the ground. My other issue is the size. I ordered the 15’ but is actually 16’. If I cut it down it will be more manageable. Sometimes we’ll even cut them into 2 halves. If you want quality, I highly recommend this.

This solar pool cover is very thick and strong. I was pleasantly surprised after using ones that were so thin they ripped in my hands. My pool is warming up quickly.

Awesome love it keeps the pool clean and warms it up a lot if I don’t take it off early in the morning the pool will be too warm! Great investment for pool owners definitely recommend!!

I am very disappointed with this solar blanket. I've owned several different pool solar blankets over the years, and they typically lasted at least two years. This one started developing holes in the middle much sooner than expected. The biggest problem is that the bubbles are separating from the blanket and floating all over the pool. They create a huge mess, clog the skimmer, and require constant cleanup. I've never had this issue with any other solar cover I've owned. Who would want to buy a solar blanket that doesn't even last a year? A pool cover is supposed to be a long-term investment, not something you have to replace after just a few months. Based on my experience, this is by far one of the worst solar blankets I've purchased. I would not recommend it if you're looking for a durable, long-lasting pool cover.

Only have had this for the past month and it works great. It nice and thick so I am hoping it will last for a few years. Keeps the heat in the pool quite well.
