Works Perfectly on Honda BF115 — Not Just for Mercury
Installed this Quicksilver 802893Q01 fuel water separator filter on my Honda BF115 as part of a complete seasonal service and it fit perfectly. Don't let the Mercury and Mariner labeling fool you — this filter is a direct replacement for many other outboard applications including Honda. The filter housing threaded on smoothly and sealed on the first attempt with no leaks. The quality of the filter element and housing is exactly what you'd expect from Quicksilver — solid construction and reliable performance. Given the unknown maintenance history on my motor I was glad to get fresh filtration in place. Clean fuel delivery makes a noticeable difference in how the engine runs. If your current filter matches the 802893Q01 dimensions and thread pattern — this is a quality replacement at a fair price.
