I used this to replace a more expensive branded similar fan - twice I had to replace that because it became noisy. I installed the Fantronix model a few weeks ago and so far all is good. It is quiet and works well. The humidity sensor is adjustable in the same way as the timer, but is obviously trial and error as to the right setting. I didn't change my setting and occasionally I get the fan turning itself on in the night. I would like to change it but I can not get the casing to open, no matter how hard I try, so my advice when you install it would be to not fully close the casing until you are happy with the timer and humidity settings.

Works well. Quiet until you put the cover on - it starts to emit a loud whine as the cover gets near to the fan which remains after it is attached. Tolerable but a shame as the fan itself is quiet!

Replacing 16 year old noisy extractor. Chose this based on specification, husband installed it in about 20 mins, nothing too challenging. Had a hot shower and for the first time the mirror in the bathroom was clear after shower. Absolutely brilliant purchase.

I bought this fan to replace the 15 year old fan in our bathroom which had become noisy. The fan arrived on time and was easily fitted but what a disappointment with the noise level of this fan. It is advertised as 25 Decibels but in fact when running it is 65 decibels and a lot noisier than our old fan was. Other than the noise it works perfectly fine. I would have given 5 stars if it had been as quiet as advertised

Works well neat and quiet - its starts slow and speed is dependant on moisture in room - very clever.

It's fine and it does the job, but it isn't quiet (same volume as the 20 year old fan it just replaced) and the plastic cover looks cheap and nasty. We'll probably get something better soon enough.

Watch out this blew up after filling up with condensation while using this on the ceiling. My electrician said it was a mix of bad design and missing waterproofing. These type of fan extractors all seem to have issues like this and need waterproofing. Otherwise buy an inline fan extractor.
