Absolutely delicious. And super good for us, too. I cooked it on the stove top exactly as their directions suggested, and I doubled the recipe. Perfect for four people, and it has a bit of a crunch in the texture, and an excellent value for the money spent. It took 20 minutes to cook, covered on low heat after the initial boil, and the purple color is awesome. It will go with so many things. We served it with chicken and a salad two nights ago. It also has a nice selection of vitamins and minerals, and some protein, as well. 100% whole grain and vegan friendly. Super satisfied and highly recommend!

This rice is very tasty and as it says, it's a super food. Very healthy as it raises your HDL and lowers your LDL, also helps regulate your blood sugar. Im definitely going to keep buying it and it's beautiful color looks great on your dinner table.

Great quality, this is a repeat purchase for me. I love the taste of this and I use it stand alone or to make purple rice.

Unique and delicious

I'm about to say something i never imagined I'd be saying, but holy cow this is an interesting and delicious rice. I throw this in my budget rice cooker set for long grain, and in less than an hour of cook time, I have a rice that is an incredibly nutritious complement to nearly any meal, that is also both delicious and affordable! The grain size is perfect, the taste is complex and nutty, and the color is analysis striking. Could not be more satisfied with this rice. I made shrimp scampi tossed with tangy fresh hibiscus flowers for some guests recently, and THE RICE got more comments than the plump, perfectly cooked shrimp.

This is an ideal rice: very, very healthy, very tasty, as it has a very nice plump grain which works well as a base for anything I've thrown at it. Read the label for all its merits in terms of nutrition and sustainability too. My fondness for brown rice has evaporated: it's THIS I LOVE! The fact that it's organic is a big big plus for me, and being sustainably farmed with protections for the growers is equally important. WIN-WIN in my book!

Rice tasted great. Purchased in December as a stocking stuffer. Just noticed the expiration date of 2/15/26. Average shelf life is 1-2 years. An expiration date two months from purchase is, I don’t know, BS.

This rice is full of health benefits so I thought I’d give it a try. It’s organic so it would have been my first choice. After rinsing it’s worth soaking the rice in little water for about 20 mins then mix it with some jasmine rice. My ratio is 1/3 cup of purple rice to a cup of jasmine rice. The quality of the grain is amazing and it cooks in about 15 mins if soaked enough. If in a rush I use the pressure cooker. You really need a small amount so it lasts long, definitely worth the money.

Although they are a bit pricey, this beautiful rice is an eye-opener. Okay, they're not bright purple – but I didn't really expect them to be. However, what I most certainly didn't expect was their unique taste. This is by far the most delicious rice I've ever eaten. You could steam a bowl of it and quite happily eat it on its own – without any salt or soy sauce even. Truly the lord of all rice.

I love this rice so much. It's full of flavour and easy to cook. The downside is way too expensive for 500g for family to buy. I will recommend it if one can afford it but will not be buying due to high price tag, but instead look for alternatives out there.

Love this; it has a great, nutty taste, doesn't mush and colour purple is pretty cool!
