The freezer will reach that noise level when the compressor is working to get to the desired temperature.

The temperature setting for the refrigerator mode is 5 degrees

Freezer has a tiny amount of frost built up over the 4 months we’ve had it, but it’s a lovely freezer well made with plenty of space. Highly recommend
