Excellent value
I'm very impressed with this jacket. As a frequent user of slightly more famous and expensive brands of waxed jackets, this compares well. Its sizing is well calculated, I'm 41" across the chest and the medium size, (when it arrived; I initially ordered large by mistake) fits well across the shoulders and it's perfect for arm length. It's well constructed from heavy-duty cotton, extra layers on shoulders and elbows and well waxed. It's not a slim-fitting jacket, but tucks in well to the body with the belt. Time will tell as to how its waterproofing will last, but all in all I'm very pleased with it so far, given that it's less than half the price of some other brands.

Beast of a deal
Well well well. Finally true value for money. Well made. Heavily waxed. Stood in torrential rain for ten minutes in the garden. Not a drop got through. 14/10/20 North London. 1700hrs. Heavy!!! Love the inside pattern. Lightweight quikt so not puffy. Understand comment about bottle bear belly shapes but the belt pulls it in to give you that biker look. Me not need. Me have belly. Hehe. Love it. Great make.

Warm, but sizing is really a problem.
Positives -- material is really warm, and the workmanship (from what I can see) is very good for what you are paying for it. The comparison isn't other wax jackets on Amazon, its the boutique brand that begins with a B and ends with an R. Negatives -- Odd sizing that undercuts the warmth of the material. Unless you use the belt cold air will flow upward and kill the warmth of the material. The cut on this jacket is really odd. It seems to have been designed for men with a really large bell shaped figure. I bought the large size, and it was a bit snug in the shoulders (which was fine). But the rest of the jacket was super loose in the chest and even more so towards the belly and the bottom of the jacket. The middle belt helps a little to keep warmth in your chest and shoulders, but doesn't help around the belly. At one point I took off the belt from the middle, and used it to tie up the bottom of the jacket to my waste. When I did that the jacket warmed up significantly. I was only wearing a t-shirt under it on a very blustery day -- and I was fine. That was a sign the material was solid but the sizing/tailoring was off. I've since taken the jacket to a tailor to get adjustments done to it, to make it much tighter in the middle and bottom sections. I am harsh about the cut/tailoring, but I do genuinely like this jacket. It is (when you get the sizing right) a very warm jacket for autumn/winter weather.

Not a good fit
I am 5’9”, 44” chest and a 36” waist, I ordered size large. When the jacket arrived it seemed ok until I tried it on. It seemed ok in the body, but it was a little short but that could if been something I could live with. It was, however, tight across the shoulders but the major issue was the sleeves. They were extremely tight on the arms, I don’t have really muscular arms, and were at least 2” too short. Not a great fit at all and not issues I felt would be resolved with a larger size. I returned it a bought another brand which was a huge improvement in the fit.

Good fit and excellent quality.
A good fit and a good look. So much cheaper than an original.

Good jacket
Good jacket that I use on my classic motorcycle. Not strictly a proper bike jacket, but ideal for back lane pootling. Good value.

I love it.
I wanted a shorter jacket that's more comfortable in the car and better shaped than the usual waxed jackets. I had this Game Speedway jacket and a similar item from another brand on my list: This one mentions quilting. It's not very quilted, but still warm. I like the brass coloured buttons and don't object to the branding. The belt can be doubled back and still be comfortable sitting down. Just the one inside pocket is a negative. The outer pockets have that thing where the top of the pocket folds over a bit so they stay dry. A plus point. As another reviewer said, the tapering on the arms is definitely there, but doesn't seem to be an issue even with a chunky jumper on underneath. The quality of the outer and inner fabric is high. The outer definitely feels hard-wearing. Overall I'm really happy with the jacket. It look good, even in an office shirt; it's really comfortable and it's going to be hard wearing.

Great for the price
I decided that I wanted to go back to a waxed cotton riding jacket after wearing leather for the last 15 years. I had a Belstaff Trialmaster for about 20 years previous and had figured that I would pick up another until I saw the $600 price tag. (!!!) I decided that I would give this jacket a try, the look and price are good. I just received it last week, and it does look good, but it definitely isn't a Belstaff. That isn't necessarily a bad thing; if you are expecting to spend 1/4 the price and get 100% of the quality, then the more fool you are. First, the good: The fabric is decently heavy and the lining is spot on. The fit is EXACTLY as it is supposed to be. My chest measures 43" and I ordered a large (42"-44" chest). I have just enough room to wear a hoodie under it if I want. The look is great; I received several compliments on it the first time I wore it. It is every bit as good looking in person as it is in the pics. The pockets are well-placed and the top pockets having the slant is a good thing for accessibility. The inside pocket is easily reached and doesn't feel like it was tacked on as an afterthought. Now for the bad: The material isn't heavily waxed; I will be proofing it before I use it as a riding jacket. It didn't have that "new Belstaff smell" but that may be that those are waxed oilskin (cotton fabric treated with a mix of boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits) and this is simply waxed cotton. For US wear, the jacket I received has a left-handed zipper as if it were a women's jacket. I don't know if that's a British thing, but it isn't a deal-breaker for me, just something to get used to. It is definitely cut and patterned to be a men's jacket. The zipper itself is plastic instead of metal. All in all, when weighing the good vs the bad, I am happy with this jacket. If it only lasts half as long, it is still a better deal.
