Still figuring it out! *by E***N on 16 March 2026* I bought this item when my husband had Influenza A and pneumonia (he was in Scotland and I was working in The States) I was terrified and in a position where I couldn't fly back to be with him- and I bought this as part of a care package so that he could monitor his blood oxygen level. Knowing he could check his O2 level regularly bought me a little peace of mind. However, this particular monitor seems to run on the low side by 7-8 numbers...which is significant when considering whether or not to call an ambulance or go to the hospital. I'm not sure if it needs to be calibrated, or what. It _does_ work consistently, and it's never (to our knowledge) erred on the high side.
