And I might add it’s fabulous and works! **Q: Can this age other types of alcohol? If it can't why not?** A: It’s only for wine, as it says in the name. How on earth can you age spirits ? I would love to age my scotch if you know the answer. **Q: Is the metal a catalyst or a reagent, thst is, will it wear out?** A: Clef du Vin has a lifetime warranty and the metal will not wear out. It should be rinsed under hot water and not put in the dishwasher after use. **Q: So if I leave it in just over half hour it will be equivalent to Jesus wine ?** A: Haha haha— something tells me the wine in Jesus’ time wasn’t as good as what we have today— unless you drink Boone’s Farm. All kidding aside we were very skeptical but now we use it all the time. I even bought one for each of our Wine Connoisseur Friends and they too are now believers. To my surprise, it does work. I don't have a very discerning palate, but I can tell that it opens up the wine. It 110% won't make bad wine taste great, but it'll become drinkable.Inside the box is a booklet that can tell you what happens if you leave the key in a particular type of wine for X seconds. The EN translation should be near the end of the booklet. FYI, I don't think it's a good idea to leave the key submerged past five seconds.Just play with the key and find your wine's flavor profile that makes it enjoyable for you.
