Color was off
I really love what this company stands for and that they test for heavy metals. But the color of the Matcha was almost faded brown green. It was nothing close to the bright green that a good ceremonial Matcha should have.

Product of China, and it is soluble
So I learnt that this matcha was made from tea leaves grown in China. I ran out of soluble matcha powder that I always used and I tried this until I received a new batch. It was my fault that I thought matcha was always made from tea leaves grown in Japan, and the name "Ninja" also made me think of Japan (though now I come to think of it, the famous juicer has nothing to do with the country). So I received "Matcha Ninja" and tried it. I added some cold water and it was mostly soluble, I only had to stir with a spoon. The color was rather like moss green, different from the matcha that I usually have, which is bright green with a slight blue hue to it. It taste like matcha but it gave me a lingering powdery texture. This moment I started wondering, what area did this tea come from? The package only said "Imported". I could not find any other information from the package. I went to their website. The website said that Matcha Ninja used to source from Yame, Japan, but because "a concern that developed from us and our consumers" regarding the disaster in Fukushima, which is located 800 miles away from Yame, they decided to use tea leaves from Zhejiang, China. If they made this change for their customers, they should make it clear that it came from China on the package so customers could choose this to avoid tea from Japan, not making unclear. The website had a mailing address of an apartment building in Toronto, Canada but missing the unit number, and their term of service said that the governing law of their service is the laws of The Republic of Ireland. This matcha was not for me, but if your top priority for matcha is being soluble, this is for you.
