Legigo 12 Quarts Organic Orchid Bark, Orchid Potting Mix, Pine Bark

I had a chunkier bark mix that I didn't like and neither did my orchids, so I tried this recently. Repotted all my orchids and now they're happier! It's holding more moisture for them and the roots are much happier. Sticking with this one. Glad I tried it!

I used it to repot an orchid (actually three) and they are doing great!

I ordered rare plants online and needed to make my own mix. I used this to mix and it was great. I did notice moisture in the package before I opened it so check that before you leave it sitting on a shelf somewhere. So far my plants have enjoyed the extra drainage with these

I like this bark! The pieces are very small in comparison to more big name brands but I actually prefer that because most of my orchids are in 2-4 inch pots. I don't think the standard size bark would fit at all in my 2in pots and not very well in the 3in pots. I mix the two together for my 4in and 5in pots. I bought the 2qt bag just to try it- don't be surprised that the 2qt bag is very small, especially in comparison to the bags you might find at the store. I've used this bark in 5 pots (one 2in, one 3in, and three 4in) and still have enough left for probably 2-3 more pots depending on size. None of the bark had mold on it and there were no pests or anything. I did notice that when I kept it in one of my cabinets (dark and dry), the bag would end up with a small amount of condensation inside, which was causing the bark to get slightly moist. To try and prevent that, I now keep it cracked open a tiny bit when I store it- just enough to let it air out. The bag is resealable, which is nice.

I’m fairly new to plant parenthood but learning as I go. This has definitely helped my plants thrive more than potting soil alone. I was able to soak the large pieces and make them smaller for my smaller plants and leave them larger for the bigger ones. I will be ordering again. Especially since my area stores do no sell orchid bark. Worth the price.

Definitely not "chunky" pine bark, but it is pine bark. I prefer larger pieces and this looks to be smaller and finer grade than I'm used to. My concern is it will compact to fine soil faster. Otherwise its a nice, smaller sized pine bark. Worked nice as a top dressing, too. Bag small but good size to try it out before buying larger quantities.

Great for my orchids and for my chunky soil mix!! No I didn't do the dance when I said that. 🤣

Love the size of the bark! Perfect for orchids and not too chunky.

Use this for my Orchids and find it works best as the drainage is good. Have to water them more often and they dry quickly due to the looseness - but I find soaking for 15 to 20 mins when dry works well even if I have to do it more often. Have bought several bags.

As for the quality-id ok, amount is disappointing.
