Tasty, Convenient and Great Value Pesto
This basil pesto is delicious, it adds real flavor to pasta, sandwiches or salads. Itโs super easy to use straight from the jar and saves time when cooking. Considering the price, itโs excellent value for money. Great quality!

Tasty pesto for quick meals
I used this pesto sauce what I wanted a quick pasta meal and it works really well because the flavour is herby and also creamy without needing much added to it. I usually stir it through hot pasta with a little pasta water and it coats everything nicely, then I add chicken, tomatoes, or extra cheese if I want to make it more filling. I also used it on sandwiches and homemade pizza because it adds flavour fast and makes simple food taste better. The jar size is good for a few easy meals and I like that it is made in Italy with plenty of basil, so it has that proper green pesto taste.

Texture Issues
So I've been eating this pesto on a regular occurrence and whilst the flavour is there in the back of my head, there was something confusing about the texture. Normally, it's combined into a sauce to add a basil punch, so the overall pesto-to-pasta ratio is always pretty minimal; however, I recently made gnocchi and used this pesto as the sauce, and the texture of this pesto is pretty bad.One of the included ingredients is bamboo fibre - it's before 'Pine Nutsโ (1%) and after 'Cashew Nutsโ (5%) in the ingredient list, so it contains between 1.9 grams and 9.5 grams of 'Bamboo Fibre' in the jar. The main reason I looked into this is as you take a spoon of the pesto out of the jar, you can see hair-like strands, and whilst it's 100% edible, it kind of gets stuck in your mouth as you're eating it. It's strange; I imagine they've added it to provide a more fibrous texture, but once you know itโs there, it's a struggle to eat this.I do not mind bulking agents, stabilisers, and thickeners in food, and bamboo is natural too, but I think the recipe needs fixing. Maybe replace the bamboo fibres with a powdered version. It's definitely not the norm to use bamboo; both Morrisons and ALDI (UK) do not include bamboo in their similarly priced (standard range) pestos.

Worst pesto I ever tried...
It had an awful smell of cleaner and a weird taste; we couldn't finish our meal, it went into the bin. And the worst part is that you can't get a refund.
