Very large
I wanted large bands, but these were a lot larger than i thought they would be. These fit perfectly on my Muscovies who have large, chunky legs. These are hugs on my regular duck legs.

Great for quail – colorful, easy to use, and effective
I really liked these 8mm leg bands for my Coturnix quail. I banded six birds so far and have the rest ready to go for my next batch. The colors are vibrant and make it easy to tell birds apart at a glance. They were easy to snap on, and I liked being able to customize their use—I wrote the hatch date on each band and placed them on the left leg for females and the right for the male to help with quick identification. I ordered the 8mm size specifically for quail, and it was a perfect fit. I would definitely purchase these again.

Slightly big for quail
I tried using these to mark the roosters in my latest hatch of 5 - 6 week old birds. Several of the bands slipped off of their feet during the course of the day. Perhaps if they were older they would fit better, but the roosters won’t be staying long. It’s easy enough to put them on, but takes a bit of dexterity to handle the bird and attach to their feet without pinching them.

Great product. User error.
Perfect size for a fully grown adult Coturnix quail, though I emphasize 100% grown. Easy to install with help.. a bit less easy to do it alone. Good snap and closure. I like the variety or colors.. it makes organizing breeding farms easier. I would also note that these rings make it easier for predators to snatch their legs. I can only recommend this product if your birds are completely safe. I had a skunk snap the leg of a boy with one of these on.. but I'd count that as a user error.

The Girls Love Their Bracelets!
I bought these to help identify the four different Australorp chicks we have in our flock. The others are easily identifiable, but I'm admittedly a weirdo who has named them all and it got tough once they were fully feathered. The size appears to be perfect for 7+ week old standard-sized chickens, and they don't appear to bother the birds at all! I was concerned about potential pecking because it's "new" and chickens are smart and also obsessive, but they instantly accepted their new jewelry in stride. They appear to be really durable, which is nice since putting them on the chickens was a bit of a hassle. Not necessarily a complaint--I don't want them to fall off and have to put them back on--but it's a two person job. One holds the bird, the other slides the clip into itself. Then it's a breeze! Overall I'd say I'm pleased! The only complaint I have is that there are few color options. But where I technically needed more than four, we made it work well enough.

Too big
Too big for adult coturnix quail. They slip off very easily.

They’d be great if they didn’t fall off…
Bright, easy to see colors. Easy to apply; just open it wide and then pinch to click shut, but they just as easily fell off my quail. They stayed clasped, but somehow their foot slid right out. I wish they worked because I like them. I think they’d last decently.

Don't fit chicks
Bands are solid and colourful. They slip off 3 day old chicks, so they would have no hope on bantom or quail, and you will need a marker system until chicks are about 7 days old when these start to work.
