I used this for Halloween (medusa face painting) and it has great coverage and good colors. It is smooth and, when washing off, it came out pretty nicely.

Our color choice was the Green, Black and White because those matched the team colors.It does apply like a lipstick I suppose, not that I have a lot of experience with that as a dad. But reports of it breaking off are likely due to players exposing too much of the stick when applying. Also I would imagine heat is a factor so a bit of common sense will go a long way.Why 4 stars? My son wanted white but IMO that's not a great choice for eye-black, and likely to have the opposite effect. But in reality, the white doesn't appy that well. Green and Black are solid but the white just takes more effort and doesn't apply as thick as the other two colors.Also, this eye black does rub off fairly easily. So if you rub your face, it will smear. I don't have any prior experience wiht eye black so maybe this is normal. But I imagine that there are products that are stickier. After a couple of games, half the kids came off the field looking like Alice Cooper (dating myself here).Were the kids excited though? Yep! Solid product for teen and pre-teen sports for the price.
