It comes packed in a well made and practical back-pack style bag, and this too is very well made. One consideration when ordering a Flexifoil Rage power kite is that it will come with just the kite. You will also need to purchase a pair of flight handles and line set that Flexifoil sells (both separately) on their desertcart store, and they too are very well made. I am new to power kiting, and this kite is my first of this variety. I have flown 2-line stunt kites, so I am familiar and capable when it comes to controlling the kite in flight. I flew the Flexifoil Rage 2.5 today for the first time, and the wind speed when I did so was reported locally as steady at 15 kts gusting to 23 kts. I had watched many online videos related to flying power kites prior to today, so I went into this flight session with some knowledge of what to expect, but this kite then got the best of me. I consider my athletic, I am 6’2”, and 210 pounds. I was in a large cow pasture - which has uneven footing – and the kite took off and flew flawlessly. Then, very suddenly, I was lifted off the ground maybe 2-3 feet during a turn through the wind’s ‘power window’ (directly downwind), and when I landed, I twisted an ankle. I then recovered – refusing to be beaten – and was soon pulled over and down onto the ground resulting in my letting go of the handles. The safety lines on the handles then took over and engaged the kite’s brake lines and the kite landed downwind without further incident. I was not hurt as a result of this, but I needed to share my experience for several reasons. First, flying this kite for the few moments that I did prior to failure was a pure blast. I loved the feeling. I did however, fly this kite for my first time in way too much wind speed. This kite is no joke, and I fully plan to master it as best as I can, but next time, I will be out there in no more 10 kts. I will also be on a smooth lawn, or better yet, a beach where I can lean back and let my heels dig ahead of me if needed. Bottom line…this is a well made product that can be a ton of fun. Be very careful at first though, be smart, and be respectful.
