Review: A safety blanket! Wish I had this years ago. - I hope I don't have to use this, but the one time I was scared was 20 years ago when I put a pizza box in the oven to keep warm. Only ~170 degrees, but I should have warmed up the oven first as when it turns on a first the heating element is full heat until it hits temperature. THEN, it cycles on/off to maintain that ~170deg. Opps, I was luck and the sink was close by, but I freaked out. So this lets us have a piece of mind.

I hope I don't have to use this, but the one time I was scared was 20 years ago when I put a pizza box in the oven to keep warm. Only ~170 degrees, but I should have warmed up the oven first as when it turns on a first the heating element is full heat until it hits temperature. THEN, it cycles on/off to maintain that ~170deg. Opps, I was luck and the sink was close by, but I freaked out. So this lets us have a piece of mind.

Yesterday I had an unexpected fire in my kitchen. My housekeeper was cleaning the stove and turned on the oven by mistake. As I never use my oven … I always use my Ninja Oven/ Air Fryer … there were some item stored in the oven and they caught fire. I immediately grabbed the Fire Blanket which I had stored right by the oven and covered the flaming pan. I couldn’t believe that the blanket smothered the flames instantly and the fire was out within a few seconds. The only result of the fire was a ruined pan, a scorched fire blanket and a lot of small pieces of black ash floating around the kitchen. We even managed to get the fire out before the smoke detectors engaged. They did warn us that a fire had started and the alarms were about to start, but we opened all the doors and got the smoke out. I cannot tell you how wonderful these fire blankets are and that everyone should have them in their home.
