Homestyles Nantucket Natural Wood Pantry with Four Doors

This is why I only purchased Homestyles...Ultimate perfection! Every pre-drilled hole exact, insert sleeves for the cam pins places them perfectly when firmly tightened, not a thing off! All hardware was the strongest steel, i only Wish I could buy woodscrews that hold up to my power driver like these! No splits in wood whatsoever either. A Rock Hard cleanable finish like the very best butcherblock or cabinetry. Pet peeve tho had to go purchase a little wood glue for the dowels, their ends are already glued in place, however. Also, I did not glue the top cabinet dowels down into the lower cabinet so that it still breaks down into 2 pieces for moving. To those who said the drawer falls out "No the drawer cannot fall off the track and functions smoothly! (that means you did not put something together correctly). Doors aligned and work perfectly, too. I Love the small profile or footprint that provides incredible storage! Can tuck right around a corner but hold so much it's amazing! The wood is ironwood hard not soft. All real wood but way too many finger joints are showing and did not expect a patchwork or butcherblock look. Cutest in a kitchen. See photos... would buy again knowing this though. Unexpectedly well packaged that sadly arrived with several large packaging holes but nothing inside was damaged. Notes: Found that a flat blade screwdriver worked best for tightening the door hardware and cams. Phillips for tight cam pins. You will need a power srewdriver with machine screw phillips bit or 20v drill set to low because getting those black wood screws into this pre-drilled rock hard wood is not easy! I build alot of box furniture both wooden and metal industrial and this one is a 6 solid hour project if you know what your doing, not including unpacking and clean-up!

I was very worried when I saw the state of the packaging when it was left outside my home. However, this was exceptionally packed. If it had not have been, it would have been damaged for sure. I have never had any flat packed furniture so well packaged. 5 stars right there. It as also the most easy and perfectly aligned flat pack furniture I have ever put together. Everything was perfectly aligned, no forcing pieces to fit. It was a dream. The finished product is very nice, not as flimsy as the last flat packed cabinet I purchased. This one will be a good replacement and I'm sure last a little longer. It's not a piece that will be handed down to anyone of course lol. But for the price I paid for it, well worth the money for a few years use, which I feel it will last. A nice looking cabinet/pantry for the price.

After having assembled this pantry, I have to say that my wife and I are extremely happy with it. Given that we had to put it together, I have to say that under that condition, the end result was the pantry seems well designed and the parts fit like a glove. This in turn led to a finished product that yields the sense that it was custom made versus something that came in pieces and had to be assembled. For example, the assembled pantry is very heavy, so it's not a thin paneled cabinet that would seem like it came from a thrift shop. But then again, at this price point, you'd expect it to be a bit more on the higher end of design and manufacturing. In my view, I'd say it met this expectation and I'm anxious to someday get it's matching "island" that I saw on Amazon. But I'll have to save my pennies for that one.....the island is even more expensive! Functionally, I have no complaints on the two cabinet spaces. It comes with two shelves for the top and bottom, but each cabinet space has multiple holes for the shelf pins, to move the shelves up or down, so it's very versatile in this respect. The drawer is tiny, but I expected that. It's just as it appears in the picture. It is functional and slides out with a sort of safety position to keep the drawer from dropping on your toes. It's not a tall drawer obviously, but we use it for things like our coffee filters and kitchen scale. Are there any complaints? Well, only one for us. I believe several other reviews complained about the same thing and that was the magnet closure mechanisms for each door. Its a simple magnet/plate type closure mechanism you see at hardware stores for this purpose, but it's a smaller version and I guess for this size and weight of door, it's a bit on the small side to keep the doors shut all the time. So we just went out and bought a larger magnet mechanism, for the doors that gave us a problem. The ones that didn't are doing fine with the supplied magnets. But this wasn't enough for me to knock it down from 5 stars. I've bought many "construction required" type cabinets in my life and this type of thing is common because I think the closing mechanism is dependent on some other factors such as how level the cabinet is sitting and how precisely it was put together. There's always going to be some slight variations that lead to torquing somewhere, and I just think the door closure design tolerance was designed too tight. A couple other things you may want to know. It does come with 4 leveling type feet. The feet are about an inch in diameter and they do screw in to adjust height. Also, in the picture, it appears that there are things place on top of the cabinet. This gives the impression that the top is flat. The top is actually not one solid flat area. If you were to look at the top, you'd basically see an unfinished section with wood braces for rigidity. The top was never intended to be finished and flat to act as a storage platform, but you can store things up there. I just wanted to mention this in the event you were planning to put this next to a stairway, or below an upper floor where you can physically see the top, or you were planning to use the entire top area to place something there of that dimension. Because the braces take up portions of the corner, there's slightly less available area to place things than you might think. Hope this review helps you decide. We're pleased with our purchase. Hopefully you will be too!

The cabinet is very sturdy and well made. It looks great once assembled. Every single piece was wrapped and labeled extremely well. It left no room for confusion during assembly. Honestly, probably the best labeled DIY piece I’ve ever assembled. Every piece feels heavy and solid, all of the pre drilled connections fit together perfectly. Even the hardware was meticulously labeled. (Bravo to whoever is handling that!) The only reason I’m bit giving 5 stars is because a few pieces clearly have a front and back edge. This isn’t mentioned in the instructions or diagrams in any obvious way. I only noticed because I’m extremely paranoid I will put something together incorrectly so I quadruple check every piece. Still,I do not regret my purchase whatsoever.

I love these! Ordered three for my pantry. MUCH cheaper than custom cabinets, and they look really nice. Relatively easy to put together for a 46 (reasonably fit) woman. You just need patience and a bit of working space. I had my young boys hold a few boards for me while I fastened them in, but otherwise was able to do it by myself. They’re pretty sturdy, considering they’re flat pack. The off white color is nice, and it both brightens and warms my space. The only thing I would suggest is something to help stop the doors from slamming backward. If you’re careful, it’s no big deal, but if you rush or have kids in and out of them, you’ll need to remedy that by placing some small, clear rubber stoppers in inconspicuous places. All in all, happy with my purchases!

This is well engineered, quality piece of furniture that looks great in my home. I was not happy that it arrived in one very heavy box, but it was well packaged and relatively easy to assemble. Everything I needed was included and the instructions were straightforward. It took about three hours to assemble it. The color is a cream white, with a strong yellow undertone. In my opinion, it looks "richer" than a pure white finish might, but it is not really an "off white" at all. There is plenty of room in this pantry, although I did order another because I just have a lot of cooking and baking equipment to store. My food pantry is actually set up in a walk-in closet, but if that ever changed, this would hold a lot of food. I would also consider it for art or craft supplies. It might also be very useful for storing linens, so it is a versatile piece. I am very happy with it. It is the second piece I have purchased from this company. They make some nice stuff that is a cut above the usual.

The quality exceeded my expectations. The color is beautiful, and it’s very sturdy and well-made. I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend it!

We purchased this cabinet to fit against a narrow wall in our entry way. We chose white as described because it matches our kitchen cabinets, or it was supposed to. The cabinet design itself is perfect for the space, and has plenty of shelves for storage, plus a drawer. It took some putting together, lots of parts, but everything was packaged so that you could find everything easily. Our only complaint is the color. It’s not white. It’s not even close. It is a funky yellowish color. When I was a kid, I had French Provencial bedroom furniture, which was white. If you see that furniture these days, it has yellowed to a color that matches this - not attractive at all! I included a photo of it next to our white cabinets (I don’t know why Amazon keeps turning them sideways), as well as the assembled piece. Because we like the design, I grabbed some white semi-gloss trim paint and started in on it. Today it is white, and looks just like our cabinets! It’s sturdy and will do what we need it to do. So, if you like the design, know that you can change the color!

Lovely pantry. I was surprised when all my groceries fitted in!. Nice design. I am so happy to have it. The only negative point is when I was building it there were little cracks around the nails!. When I think about the cost, I am a little disappointed.

Very pleased with this pantry . We shopped around a lot . If you want something more high end looking this would be the one . Ample storage and they added to our kitchens look . We bought two and noticed on both that the bottom left door doesn’t reach the door-magnet properly (slight manufacturing error). Easy fix by adding small washers on the hinges. Would give 5 stars , only reason why I didn’t want this small easily fixed issue.
