I had a permanently installed clothesline that would block my view all the time. This is the perfect substitute! I had 2 lines up, so no loss of hanging room. This is hanging in the same spot, between pillars about 25 feet apart. As long as I get the line secured snugly, there is very little drooping, even when loaded down with a large load! I realize there is a lot more line in the thing, so it might be different if I were using the entire length. This seems to be built well. It is easy to remove from the bracket, which I do in hopes of extending its life. I think the plastic will get brittle over time in the hot Arizona sun and heat. The lines retract so easily. There is no "catch", so you just unhook the line, unwind at the stopper and walk it in. Installation was done by my husband, but looked easy enough in wood pillars. The metal bracket stays in place and the 2 little hooks stay in the other end. Much better than the old lines hanging all the way across all the time. I only wish I had gotten this sooner.

Very easy to install. I love that it has pins to easily take the unit down when not in use to help protect it from the elements. Only used once so far so can't speak to durability but I'm excited to lower my electric bill this summer!

Overall I'm very happy with the clothes line however I did knock it down 1 star only because even after wrapping the cord around the foot the cable would sag once clothes were hung. For me, this wasn't a huge issue. Since it was going all the way across my porch, I just wrapped it around each of my support poles and that worked great! It's still better than the system that we had before and I love that when I'm done with it, it retracts and isn't an eye sore.

Excellent product, love not having to have line up all the time. Easy to extend and self coils nicely. Note I do not leave out in the winter, probably would not hold up to severe cold temps but easy to take down in fall and put up in Spring.

I bought this specifically to be installed inside my garage because the area that I live is super dry and horrifically full of dust, the origins of which are odiferous enough for identification and the absolute certainty that you do not want THAT on your clothes or any other fabric items. I knew that one of the main things that I need to be able to hang to dry are duvets and bedspreads, so I needed a clothesline that could support a fair amount of weight. This one fit the bill. The fact that it's a double clothesline was an added bonus. The issues are all somewhat minor, but there are enough of them that I will not rate this above a 3-star. Trying to install this isn't super difficult. You can use the mounting plate to mark the walls where you need to install the base of the unit, with the actual clotheslines, and you can run it over to the other side and use it to mark where you need to install the hooks. That part is super easy. Even installing the mounting bracket isn't hard. You do need to know if you are installing into a wall stud or not. Mine is half on a wall stud and half not. This is where the first of the more major problems comes in. This clothesline says that it can hold about 50 pounds, that's great, since that is one of the things I need in a clothesline. However, the wall anchors that they include in this are basic plastic wall anchors. I hesitate to trust those to 50 pounds of wet laundry. I wish that this had come with steel toggle bolts instead, as those are better suited for large weight limits. The plastic wall anchors make me worry that this clothesline will not be durable over time. I worry that if there is more weight on it regularly, that it will pull the plastic wall anchors out of the wall. This issue is compounded on the hook end. The proper placement for the hooks, in my garage, has them not going into a stud. I installed the wall anchors, but then the hooks would not go all the way in. The wall anchors were not the right style and ripped through the drywall to spin freely. The one I was trying to install ended up ripping out of the wall. I had to re-drill the hole into the stud just so I could get the hook installed in the wall. The line is nice and thick, so I think the line itself is strong enough for the laundry I need to hang. The cleats on the bottom of the clothesline, where you are supposed to wrap the line so it does not loosen or sag, those feel extremely cheap. Not durable. I'm using only a single clothesline, but I'm wrapping it around both cleats, just to try to spread that weight around a little bit. I may do what someone else in the comments did and install a metal cleat on the wall so that the clothesline gets wrapped around that instead. While I appreciate the manual method to hold the line, I don't think it's as good an option as could have been found. Either my line is too tight to wrap securely around the cleats, or I can wrap it and the line sags by several inches. Trying to get the pins through the unit and the mounting plate was incredibly difficult because you can't easily see behind the unit in the position it is in for my garage. That issue is a rather minor issue, but it's still very frustrating. Overall, This will work for what I need, but I don't know that I would buy it again, if given the option to redo the purchase, knowing what I know now. It almost would have been easier to install a smaller clothesline in the bathroom over the bathtub, like in a hotel.

Purchased to replace static hanging cloth lines. It is quite a nice upgrade and it gives the added benefit of removing it if it is needed to. Seems quite sturdy, but will definitely check on it later after a couple of months or years down the road of using it.

Boo..... I've had it 4 months... using it a couple times a week or less and the retractors broke so it allows the line to go slack all the time.... would not recommend.... also the return window was 1 month so now they wont do anything to help

In corredo troverete anche tre tasselli per fissare il Minky. Due per l'avvolgi cavo ed uno da mettere dalla parte opposta per agganciarlo. Sotto il Minki troverete una sporgenza dove poter bloccare il filo in modo che con il peso non si srotoli e venga giù tutto. Quindi per montarlo basta un trapano ed un muro dove poter fissare il tutto oppure un'altra superficie purché resistente a tenere tutto il peso dei panni appesi. Che dire : per quello che costa se un giorno si rompe ne ricompro altri due. Saluti .
